Hi,

I'm contemplating on a paleo diet (no carbs or sugar) while I'm trying to kick the smoking habit. Even though I notice nicotine plasters work best for me (stable nicotine level) I have huge drops in 'blood sugar level' during the day. From getting dizzy & shakey & sweaty if I don't eat something immediately. Especially when I'm using the nicotine plasters. Anyone else having these experiences & know if it would be wise to switch to a protein diet, because the blood sugar level stays normal then (fat is than the 'energy giver' instead of carbs)? And/or trying to kick the habit? Feel free to join in

don't know about smoking, but i think eating everything with modesty is better.

but to get rid of all cravings try pea protien powder.

I got it sometime ago to use as an ingredient in a face mask, then researched it, and Dr.OZ along with so many others swear by it to curb any sugar/fat craving.

The only thing is people need to start remembering to eat something, as it really works. Maybe incorporating that into your diet may work? (you can just mix it with water)

Wow great question, Twirl!

I really don't understand much about getting off cigs. I was lucky I never started. I tried a few in college and could see how one could get addicted.
Your body is gonna de tox. I would think that raw foods and juices would be better than lots of protein but that is just a general opinion.

Good Luck, Friend

Thanks guys

Yes, juices would be good, but maybe I can just do the vegetable juices? Without really getting technical, but when sugar is cut out (still veg) & proteins are eaten the body switches to a different energy system which would solve the blood sugar issue. Or that's my theory at least Few fruits in the morning are okay I think..,
It's day 8 so far...
I'm already having all the detox teas & herbs in the world, lol. Also quit before so hopefully a part of the toxins are still out (it was awful back then, for days). So annoying I didn't nail it for good.

Good you don't smoke
Is this a Gemini 'nerves' thing? Or is it Neptune?
