If you go out, GMOs are in most oils, so if you go to a party or out to eat, things will have GMOs
What freaked me out was a picture of animals stomachs melting from GMOs.
The GMO scientists had a conference and they said they would not eat GMO food.
The awful thing is that it is everywhere.
What do you guys do?

Honestly, I don't read up on it a whole lot.
I generally go with common sense/instincts when it comes to things I don't care to read about it detail...
And common sense tells me that anything natural is going to be far less harmful than something synthetic or modified. I mean, except poisonous berries or whatever.

It's very difficult to avoid this stuff. I try to maintain an awareness of foods that are known to be widely modified or harmful, and do my research regarding which brands or areas to buy from.

But it's difficult to keep track of.

I use things like bentonite clay to try to cleanse my system of impurities, but that's about all I do other than just trying to avoid the stuff if possible.

Ami Anne, if you were in Europe, you wouldn't have this problem. Although things might change here.

I have read up on and watched YouTube videos on GM foods. The news is truly BAD. Monsanto started life as a producer of poisons, such as Agent Orange - a poison gas used in Vietnam. They then branched into weedkillers. The use of GM seeds allows them to sell weedkillers in abundance. Because GM seeds only work when used in tandem with their weedkillers. It was an ingenious invention in that respect, but it's a treatment that kills the soil and unleashes untold harm on the human body.

This is much worse than putting impurities into the body. The body, in fact, has no way of defending itself.

It speaks volumes that the GMO scientists stay away from them.

EXACTLY, AK

Here is the thing with me. I get stomach aches from them. At first, I thought it was all in my mind but then I am super careful to avoid them and I don't have the stomach aches.

They are in all canola oil, all soy oil( except labeled organic/Non GMO)

They are in all soy beans

They are in all sugar except that labeled as cane sugar.

I am going to a wedding in a few weeks and I am gonna fast

I know this will sound funny to some, but I bless my food, for good nutrition and highest vibration energy, and command that all harmful effects be transmuted. I use intent to counter the harmful effects and to imbue the food with 528Hz love vibration. I give thanks for being healthy, whole and complete. Positive thinking helps.
It's good to be aware, but without having to live in fear.

You have a point. It is not funny at all!

Thanks, Ami, Violets.

I eat in most of the time now, but last night my friend treated me to dinner at my favorite restaurant, which also provided live entertainment last night. The owner and his wife were both there, and some favorite repeat customers. So already the energy was good. But after we blessed our meal it seemed as though the entire restaurant was lifted into the sky.

Later the owner came over and entered into a lengthy discussion with us about his native country and personal values. We all shared memories about past relationships with family: aunts, uncles, grandparents, cousins. And then he gifted us with desert on the house. the blessing of food really fuels our souls as well as our bodies.

Wow, AK, Vandana Shiva video, powerful words at the end of video, on the meaning of seeds and how GMO patent is necessary for false claims to controling creation of life on our planet.

I absolutely do not eat them (knowingly).

I stopped fast food 8 years ago, processed/boxed stuff about 3-4 years ago. All cooking oils are non-GMO & cold pressed. I eat organic veggies, rice, beans, nuts and very little fruit. Gave up caffeine too. The only thing in my house I can think of that *might* be questionable is my baking powder, but at least it's aluminum free.

I cook every meal at home and I absolutely REFUSE to eat out. Literally every outing, I have snacks packed and longer trips, I have a cooler with my goodies on ice. If I am caught out unexpectedly, I go to the grocery store and find something... usually plain coconut yogurt or something simple.

Oh and I started gardening in containers. I've had some failures, but it's been a great learning experience. My tomatoes caught some plant disease and my corn (last summer) was destroyed by fungus after a week of heavy rain. However, my blueberries, strawberries & mandarin tree all look great.

This also goes for soaps, lotion, toothpaste, etc. I truly do the best I can do inside and out. Being this dedicated to a belief, I have had to learn how to make SO MANY things this way and I've found it's not all that difficult.

I have even found my need for deodorant has diminished since I stopped using that too. There is an adjustment period, but once your diet is clean, your sweat is clean.

However, if you are self-conscious about your body odor, there is a homemade deodorant recipe with coconut oil, cornstarch, baking soda and a few drops of your essential oil of choice you could use if you aren't ready to give up the deodorant. It would be so much better for you!

I like this. And I agree about the fear.

I think it is real bad. I know too many people in their 20s with real health issues. Makes me sad. Why should people have to spend a bunch of time looking into what is not poison. It isn't right.

No it isn't. I volunteered on the Washington Initiative 522 campaign and I was devastated when we came so close (51.1% / 48.9%) and it didn't pass.

Oregon has their mandatory labeling of GMOs on the ballot this year and I hope it will pass! I will drive over the border to shop to stick it to Washington and show them why they should label. I'd bet a lot of Washingtonians (particularly in the border areas) will change their tune when their food isn't flying off the shelves like it used to.

People WANT labels. Unfortunately, the "no" supporters had more money. Monsanto invested more than $5 million to fight us and DuPont, Bayer, Pepsi & Nestle USA were also giving millions to fight us.

I just read this: "...opponents of I-522 raised approximately $22 million, setting the record for the most money ever raised - in support or opposition - for a ballot measure in the state of Washington."

It's so frustrating.

Thankful there are people like you! <3 I appreciate the work you do. I was so sad when labeling in California didn't go through but like you said big companies put so much money into advertising.

Even though it didn't pass in California, it raised so much awareness in CA. The organic market is growing. People are starting to realize the connection between health and clean food.

Sorry Ami, I get so mad about this (Aries rising). We eat mostly at home. If we go out we eat sushi or mexican but in all honesty, we haven't gone out to eat in so long. It makes us sick. Waste of money. Here we are paying 25-50 dollars to a restaurant that we know is going to make our stomachs upset after. Gluten always makes my joints hurt the next day. I'd rather pay 25-50 dollars towards organic & just make what I want at home.
