I have two bottles of hair mousse that I use sometimes, and before it's time to buy more, I thought I'd ask if there are any holistic alternatives to hair mousse or a brand that is less toxic than others?

Thanks
Stawr

What do you use the mousse for when styling your hair? My mom gave me this stuff she got from a persian market called katira, it's a gum/resin also known as tragacanth gum that is like a clear gel that women use for hair. I dilute it with water and add a couple drops of my favorite EO's and I apply it to my hair with a spray bottle while wet as kind of like a gel to smooth down flyaways. Makes my hair silky and shiny

I have a bottle of that Argan Oil.

It really helps with my WildWind Hair.

Makes it pretty and shiny too.

Too bad my daughter cavaged it for her Graduation.

Just gave up and gave it to her.

Sheesh.

As I'm growing my hair out again, I'm going to be needing this information. Thanks, Stawr!

lets see the mousse products I use now are
Herbal essences (which really has no herbs in it)
and
Perfect Purity (which is probably not all that pure for ya)

I haven't cut my hair short in a while.
My guy loves long hair, I'm thinking it's a good time to see how long I can handle it. Right now it's to my chest.

the herbal essence is called "lift me up"
on skin deep it is rated a 6. (0 being low concern and 10 being high concern.)

cancer risk is low, and same with developmental and reproductive toxicity is low.

But allergy risk is high

Here are some mousse products that got a zero score

I was not expecting this one to get a zero score.
