Castor oil, also Lush sells a shampoo called NEW! that's supposed to help thicken hair. I haven't tried it but the reviews are good http://www.lushusa.com/NEW!/02009,en_US,pd.html IP: Logged |

Ingesting collagen with vitamin C is good for the hair. So is taking biotin. Also taking the herb horsetail, because it has silicon in it. There's a shampoo with biotin in it and that may help. For thinning hair there is a product by john masters organics called deep scalp follicle treatment & volumizer for thinning hair. It comes in a small spray bottle and you just spray it on your scalp and massage it in a little bit. You do not rinse it out. Simple to use. If you try it let us know if it helps.

Our hair serves a biological purpose and gives clues to our health. It stores the harmul elements that are toxic to our bodies such as lead, arsenic, mercury. It absorbs harmful radiation from the sun. If you have dry, brittle, thinning hair you may want to test for the presence of these and follow a detox protocol. Metaphysically thinning hair represents wanting to have too much control over things in your life. The hair is ruled by Capricorn and Saturn (plus Aquarius mate sign). Take a look at this in your astrology chart. It may help to move toward an attitude of allowing life to flow, trusting the flow, instead of wanting to control your life experience. IP: Logged |

Also shorter hair length will place less stress on your hair and frequent trimming will remove the toxins that have been stored so it won't look as bad temporarily until a detox is begun. IP: Logged |

Hope all this info is helpful. Anyone out there who has gone through a heavy detox, it would be nice to hear how your hair has automatically improved afterwards. IP: Logged |

Hi PlutoSurvivor!Thank you so much! It's a wonderful information. Yes, I control my life a lot. Saturn is strong in my astrology chart. I don't go with a flow, and I could not relax. I will try to change my habits. IP: Logged |

Dry but oily hair. I didn't know that was possible. I have fine but oily hair myself. So I've been looking into how to keep my hair from getting oily. I've also read that peppermint and lime oil is good for oily hair. I would recommend diluting it with something. (I have no idea what to dilute it with, but people always seem to suggest diluting.) I hear baking soda, alcohol, and cider vinegar for washing oily hair. But I really want something that feels and smells like girl shampoo. Currently I use a clarifying shampoo. I see I see a slight improvement, but I eventually would like to find a natural alternative. I also avoid conditioning the roots of my hair. My hair is quite long, and tangles easy lately. Could you add a drop of pure essential oil to your mix to make it smell better? IP: Logged |

I've been thinking about that, maybe adding some vegetable glycerin with it too, to give it more of a shampoo texture. IP: Logged |

For me - Onion, Garlic juice once a week bringing amazing results. Argan Oil once a week massage. Using Argan Shampoo and Argan Conditioner all are working great. However, my hair are dry. I need something to make them shiny and silky. I will try Juice Aloe. Hi Ami - Which brand do you buy for hair, and how do you use it? Thanks!

My mom used John Masters Organics deep scalp follicle treatment & volumizer for thinning hair and her hair looks thicker and healthier. You massage it into the scalp and keep it in. You don't rinse it. She also used a Wall Mart product, thick and full biotin & collagen shampoo, that's not so expensive. It comes in a purple bottle.

I have not seen the ingredients of - John Masters Organics deep scalp follicle treatment. However, it might be like Minoxidil, that also has to be left on scalp.IP: Logged |
