Interesting! I was checking out bee pollen at the health food store, and wondering how I would take it.

Stawr, Maca is also a Ginseng-like tonic that is less expensive, safer for year-round use, and generally more indicated long-term for women and a larger number of constitutional types.

In summertime, JiaoGuLan (Gynostemma pentaphyllum) is neutral, rather than warming/heating as Ginseng and Maca, and is simultaneously energy toning and detoxifying.

I've heard great things about matcha! I've been trying so hard to get back into brewing my own ice teas. Yeah I'm still sticking with the ginseng though there was a few days where I was so unbalanced and not taking them. On alternate weeks I do prenatals.
I've stalked up on valerian, Passion flower, and lobelia supplements to try next.
I try to only take one supplement a day, and eat healthy. But sometimes life just really sucks. I also have tinctures. Maybe I'll add that to my routine. Sometimes I have smoking withdrawals, and this entire month has been no fun for me. Productive though. But feeling like you can never simply enjoy yourself and have fun, and socialize does things to people.

I was referring to M-A-C-A, not Matcha Green Tea. Green tea has none of the benefits of of Maca, and Tea is incompatible with Ginseng, as per Traditional Chinese materia medica. So best to stay away from Tea - Camellia sinensis - while taking Ginseng.

No tea with ginseng, that's rough. Haven't had tea in weeks. Oh, there is a difference, I'll be sure to read more carefully. Right now I'm doing prenatals.

This month has made me mentally exhausted. Getting all the menial tasks done at once. Switching addresses, buying my moms car, getting health insurance, dr apts (required for insurance and jobs) 5 job interviews, nannying, getting job offers and weighing out my options. Accepting a job, and then getting a better offer. I'm just ready for things to settle down already.

I'm always open to trying new herbs. but for now, a second cup of coffee.

Yerba Mate is a type of tea that has the effect of coffee.
For anyone wanting to get off the coffee and still get the kick, this is it.

Guarana is another energy powerball, can't have too much of it though...and whatever you do never take it if you're going to drink alcohol...you'll get plastered super fast

Found it on the vitamin shelf also. No indication it wakes you up!

Ashwaganda is sedative, bu sometimes referred to as "Indian Ginseng" because of its strengthening and anti-aging qualities.. So depending on how much the drink's formulation depends on it, it may not be energizing at all.

It's right on the front of the can, so they are proud of it. Maybe not such a good idea for an energy drink.
