This is re hormones or HRTs as they are commonly referred to. I'm going for a natural
approach and thought to ask here before diving into something like these.

I had a complete hysterectomy and
much of my trouble is related to my hormones being do diminished. I'd truly appreciate any info if you have tried these options.

Does anyone have experience with Maca Root or wild yam? I'm soon going to try possibly the Maca root from my health food store.
I need energy, memory, mood stabilization and the other important facets that are removed after the body looses capabilities of being 'natural'.

Thank you, Randall.

I was thinking of trying both
and experimenting to see if
one works better. 2-4 weeks
tying each out. Whatever works
atp.

Updating in case anyone is interested
in this topic.

My nature store didn't have any
Wild yam but they had the Maca
powder. I bought the Maca and
decided I'dsee if it is beneficial
before trying the yam but I might
seek the yam still. In the event
the Maca doesn't do enough.
The Maca taste reminds me of
curry. I had it in my routine
morning berries and protein powder.
It's warm and woodsy. Nice for the
Fall season.
A little info on Maca-

Randall, I have a bit of info --

So far it's only given me short spurts
of energy. IF I eat it just before fitness.
Otherwise I still have a decline in energy
(unless it takes a cpl weeks). I'm getting used to the taste. I have read a couple
things to be aware of it can lead to goiter if the ladytaking it has 1. thyroid issues, (I have nk issues) 2. It can add curves in hips, thighs and breasts. (I have bo interest in "growing" more voluptuous, for me I'll quit
if it seems to cause trouble. I'm going to go 2wks on, one off. To be cautious).

I'll update when I have anything valid to add.

Thanks, Randall -
I'm going one on, one off.
Hopefully that is beneficial
and safe. Caffeine is def
going to still be in use tho.

I've since cut my coffee consumption (due to my being adrenal fatigued) out and limited other caffeinated products.I spent 2 weeks with no caffeine whatsoever. This detox disturbed my rest and other basic life functions as well.

Wow, I forgot about this thread. I'm sorry,Rheanna. I was taking the powder but realised l had ran out and forgot to
buy more. (Memory is really bad due to my
menopause, possibly head tramas of the oast too) . The maca I was using was good but honestly idk how good it was for all my
issues. Actually I was about to post a fresh thread re similar issue. Thank you
for your inquiry.

I'm now researching multi layered hormone, energy etc
liquid vitamins. I'll post a fresh thread because I'm going to seek others opinions
if they have tried anything in particular.
I have a laundry list of problems and maca isn't enough. *sigh*

Randall

Well this is embarrassing. I found the canister I thought I might had earlier finished or threw out. There's plenty of it left I'm using it once again. It's the Plant
brand: http://s17-us2.startpage.com/cgi-bin/serveimage?url=https%3A%2F%2Fimages-na.ssl-images-amazon.com%2Fimages%2FI%2F912HOUWDAJL._SY355_.jpg&sp=0703913d7a60dadb7b5e1ba9aba0fda0

It's similar in taste to the ashwagana I'm taking as well. I'll update with info if I ind I'm running on more steam. Hopefully it will jump start me. I'm still crawling from over exhaustion (with too much sleep) and the follow-up insomnia I've struggled through.
