Arby's fries, tonight, and an iced chai. I alternate healthy food, and not-so-healthy. My appetite is balanced, when I have one. Mostly live on soup, and tea. My body prefers warmer drinks, or ice water. I'm about to have some hot chocolate in a small mug, so not too much for my problematic stomach. IP: Logged |

haha the article is about a Sattvic diet sneaky title by the author so ... I had given up Alliums (Tamasic type) the past three weeks ... figured I would attempt to reintroduce them later on to note the difference in constitution just cooked a big batch of Greek fava with a ‘sofrito’ base of garlic and onions ... after one bowl, feel instantly, incredibly mind-body-disoriented. so much so that I will 100% stop eating them again !! classify these household ingredients as strictly medicines (coming from a Lebanese woman!) 🧄🙅🏽♀️🧅 Allium, Greek ἀλέω (aleo, to avoid) IP: Logged |

See/feel some relative truth in the article but some is overdrawn and over generalized. So with onions and garlic, these are very Yang. If one is already Yang polarized (cough, Mars conjunct the ASC), then probably not the best idea to fill up on these. However, an overly Yin polarized person--well that might just the thing they need for better balance. It's not so simple as these foods should always be avoided or always eaten, especially when we are individuals. And is it any surprise that a Yin polarized culture and peoples would tend to poo poo the Yang some here and there? Not really. We tend to put on a pedestal what we are like within more deeply. It's a resulting effect of the great Law built into Creation, "Like attracts, begets, resonates with, and likes Like" on the deeper energetic, Soul levels. IP: Logged |
