Hello, During this lockdown, I have noticed that my craving for sugar is increasingly going through the roof. It is intense! Anyone else experiencing this? Pathseeker IP: Logged |

salty snacks always win. I did not smoke for two weeks in quarentine. But then I picked it up again because I could not stand the brain fog as a withdrawal side effect while taking online classes. IP: Logged |

Sugar is the devil.. Sugar craving is often a sign of candida albicans over growth which is often due to a combo of over antibiotic use (which kills probiotics as well) and too much starch and/or sugar in the diet. Awhile back, I "thought" I was eating pretty healthy as I was eating a mostly whole foods type diet. Ate very little refined sugar or starches. But I was still tired all the time, had a lot of brain fog, etc. Felt like I was almost becoming pre diabetic. I started to eat A LOT more non starchy veggies, and it ended up helping A LOT. I may still have a little brown rice or quinoa in the meal, but with a lot of veggies, some easier to digest legumes (like lentils or lentil "pasta"), and enough fat and/or easier to digest protein (like goat or sheep cheese or yogurt) to slow down sugar spikes from the starch. Or I'll eat a brown rice tortilla wrap with lots of spring mix salad and some kind of filler (depends). Works really well for me. Have nice, even, balanced, sustained energy throughout the day. My "new" old job is pretty physical, and so during breaks I eat this nut based "caveman" bars that have a little chocolate, but not enough sugar to bother me, especially with the amount of fat and some protein that slows that process down. While I don't eat much fish all in all (more so in the late fall to early spring period), sometimes I'll have a big spring mix type salad with some smoked, extra virgin olive oil sardines mixed in. Not sure if I’ve had any outstanding cravings, but looking back, if anything, would be potatoes (sometimes fries). I can think back on moments where I sliced and grilled potato for the george foreman in snackiness. Or the days I ate oven fries for multiple dinners in a row (but in my defense, this usually falls down to having the bag in the freezer and wanting to “get rid of it” i also invented an incredible spinoff on Irish Colcannon that heavily rotated 🤤 the potatos are good in this country Besides that... a lot of cabbage brain —though these are also classic seasonal foods. (Health and Healing Board) Tbh, Galactic is right about sugar... his instinct to point this out isn’t necessarily to be a debby downer. Because If you’re craving it, there’s an underlying health (biome) issue. Though, clarifying his statement: [processed] sugar is the devil. People rarely “crave” nature’s fruits—when they should if at all before any alternative. note: I never crave bread or pasta (simple carbs) so my potato obsession isn’t carb-specific (I get most of my carbs from vegetables) — rather it’s highest on satiety index and a mood-regulator, though when I started taking magnesium supplement this lessened. I typically refrain from eating freshly cooked potatos and opt for refrigerating then preparing for the Resistant Starch value. I’ll never forget when my overweight craving-driven friend tried to convince me “white” potatos were “bad”. lol I couldn’t help but look at her sideways; talk to the hand of my 6th House NN. I’m reading this, and I’ve just had hot chocolate. I don’t drink it often, but it does help me to relax, when I can’t sleep. My sister used to be energized by it. IP: Logged |

For me, it wasn't COVID, but the STRESS of the United States Presidential Elections-- for most of the months of that year!!Had me getting into these cookies-- I started with only eating 2 of them, but then got up to 4!!, as the week of November Elections finally came. For the week until December 14, 2020 one day, I ate 6 of them {{oh yuck?? too much}}, for when the counting and Electoral Votes had finally been decided! November and December 2020 -- Mallomars!! Gave them up at New Years. Mallomars - chocolate marshmallow cookies [2:03] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0QQGAJdtizM (The cookies in that vid had a white film on them. Yuk?! Mine didn't. After Christmas I stopped buying them. -- But they were my Elections STRESS Cookies!) *~ I hear the media, the news, thinking that EVERY STRESS residual from this past year was due to the Pandemic? Nope! It was the brutality that was going on with HATE groups and the attempt to re-elect a dangerous president! Up until November then December, we almost had our form of govt destroyed. It was THE VOTE that would have decided whether we REMAINED a Democratic Republic, or fall to a King-- He would have changed the USA into an Autocracy-- Totalitarian rule. We almost became like RUSSIA. Putin had JUST made himself the permanent president earlier that year. The past admin had the same lustful aims and desires in his heart. But and STILL --- Democracy Remains, just as it had for over 200 Years!! God Protect USA.

Yes, I was just thinking about that. The pandemic is stressful, but it could have been a lot less stressful, without all of that going on (plus the armed protesters, and all of that). I started grinding and gritting my teeth again, at some point, and another tooth broke just after Christmas (in the back). IP: Logged | |
