Top 10 reasons gay marriage is wrong:

01) Being gay is not natural. Real Americans always reject unnatural things like eyeglasses, polyester, and air conditioning.

02) Gay marriage will encourage people to be gay, in the same way that hanging around tall people will make you tall.

03) Legalizing gay marriage will open the door to all kinds of crazy behavior. People may even wish to marry their pets because a dog has legal standing and can sign a marriage contract.

04) Straight marriage has been around a long time and hasn't changed at all; women are still property, blacks still can't marry whites, and divorce is still illegal.

05) Straight marriage will be less meaningful if gay marriage were allowed; the sanctity of Britany Spears' 55-hour just-for-fun marriage would be destroyed.

06) Straight marriages are valid because they produce children. Gay couples, infertile couples, and old people shouldn't be allowed to marry because our orphanages aren't full yet, and the world needs more children.

07) Obviously gay parents will raise gay children, since straight parents only raise straight children.

08) Gay marriage is not supported by religion. In a theocracy like ours, the values of one religion are imposed on the entire country. That's why we have only one religion in America.

09) Children can never succeed without a male and a female role model at home. That's why we as a society expressly forbid single parents to raise children.

10) Gay marriage will change the foundation of society; we could never adapt to new social norms. Just like we haven't adapted to cars, the service-sector economy, or longer life spans.

Re-post this if you believe love makes a marriage.

Moving this to our Gay Marriage Forum.

------------------
"Life is like a box of crayons. Most people are the 8-color boxes, but what you're really looking for are the 64-color boxes with the sharpeners on the back. I fancy myself to be a 64-color box, though I've got a few missing. It's okay though, because I've got some more vibrant colors like periwinkle at my disposal. I have a bit of a problem though in that I can only meet the 8-color boxes. Does anyone else have that problem? I mean there are so many different colors of life, of feeling, of articulation...so when I meet someone who's an 8-color type...I'm like, 'hey girl, magenta!' and she's like, 'oh, you mean purple!' and she goes off on her purple thing, and I'm like, 'no - I want magenta!'"

This is awesome. I love how it uses sarcasm too to prove a point.

Sarcasm is s great way to drive home a point, but some people don't understand the concept of sarcasm. Has anyone else ever met someone like that?

Sarcasm ( an Aqua trait)is a great point maker and I get a lot of hostile reactions because folks just don`t get it. I really have to be cautious on the net because it don`t translate very well to sensitive. souls.

Sigh.....me at times.
I often have troubles knowing when folks are joking.
I understand sarcasm but often do not recognize it unless I am told it was a joke.

A lot has to do with the delivery. I'vbe had jokes fail on me. But I'm usually good at conveying humor and/or sarcasm through exaggeration. Today in class I hit a perfectly-timed joke. A presentation talked about stalking laws and being followed by the stalker. She showed stats on the number of stalking cases, and I said, "Does that include Twitter?" *crickets chirp* I guess you had to be there.

The preacher at my mom's church was saying today that being gay, or bi-sexual is not of God.
I wanted to boo him so bad, and put my thumbs down.
He continued to say "You may be born that way, but you can be born again"
And I honestly think that is BS...but I still sat there...
But then he went on and pretty much expressed that being gay is as natural as having sex with animals.

Now I was ****** and offended. I shook my head said quietly "that is not the same thing" then I whispered to dad that I'm going outside. And then I stormed out of there.

Being gay is not the equivalent to being an animal f*cker.

With 2 gay people the feeling is mutual. With a person and an animal the feeling is NOT mutual.
Animals are a different animal first of all.
And since animals are not on human's mental levels, THE FEELING IS NOT MUTUAL.
So the person is pretty much taking advantage of the animal. Which I find to be animal abuse.

That is so stupid to think being gay is the same thing as that...That is just so dumb to say.
