you missed the key word - Catholic... the charity part is irrelevant good thing we have separation of church and state ------------------ " Some define good as that which preserves, and evil as that which destroys; but destruction can be cleansing and purifying, for there is such a thing in both men and races as spiritual constipation, which comes from too much preservation of the status quo." This frustrates me.Honestly, what's best for a child is a stable, loving, financially secure (not necessarily wealthy--secure, as in having enough food to eat and a place to live and all of that), happy and healthy home. Not only is it best for the child, but best for society: people who grow up in bad homes are statistically more likely to go on and create them, as well as become criminals, often violent ones. A happy and healthy home not only benefits the immediate family, but it is more likely to send out into society a person with a good sound head on his/her shoulders. Denying a person the right to that home just because those parents happen to be of the same sex is ridiculous. IP: Logged |
