New England becomes the only region in the US that allows gay marriage in all 6 of it's states. On Thursday, May 2nd, Rhode Island followed the lead of 5 other New England states by approving legislation that makes same sex marriage legal! The tenth state to do so. It's time for the rest of America to catch up (let's pull a New Zealand). 10 down, 40 to go!

"It’s official: Rhode Island became the 10th state to legalize same-sex marriage Thursday evening. The legislation passed the Rhode Island House of Representatives, with 56 votes in favor, to applause from the galleries and House floor. Legislators even broke into a rendition of “My Country ’Tis of Thee.” The bill, which was later signed by Gov. Lincoln Chafee, allows same-sex weddings beginning August 1, and gives couples already in civil unions the right to change their status to married. “At long last, you are free to marry the person you love,” Chafee said."

I don't think it coincidence that France has become the 14th Nation &
the US inclusion of a 10th state
w/ 2 eclipses in the Taurus/Scorp sector.

Somehow, a thread about new legislation wasn't political enough for GU (biased much?).

Anywho, nice point Node. I'd like to see how the impact of those eclipses pan out through the summer months. It'd be really interesting to see the spread of similar legislator approved across the world at rapid speeds.
