The NN/SS look like the horse shoes, right?

What does a Moon square to this axis mean in synastry? Google didn't have much to offer, lol

and I know that aspects to NN are important for a "future" but if you have a planet aspecting the NN doesn't it automatically aspect the SS too?

You're pretty adorable, moonstruck. Yes. They're the horseshoes.

Oh, mercy, summing up the NODES? In a single post? A concise one, no less?

Let's go cookbook. Keywords. Simple stuff.

NNODE:
Future. Growth. Improvement. The Direction Where We Should Be Going. Soul Development. Karmic Relationships In Future Lives or That Bring Marked Development. Talents and Traits To Develop and Integrate.

SNODE:
Past. That Which We've Done. Knacks and Skills. Karmic Relationships From The Past Which May or May Not Impact The Future. Debts. Obligations. Where We've Been. Too Much Can Hold Back, Too Little Won't Clear Karma.

So, you can see from the sketch above, the Nodes help us understand where we are, karmically-speaking.

The most balanced connexions and relationships will feature aspects along the axis, rather than too heavily on one side or the other.

Aspects to the SNODE in synastry can point to type of relationship and its nature from the past.

Synastric aspects to the NNODE show how this person can help us develop, and likewise.

Squares to the Nodal axis are considered a 'skipped step'; missed opportunities for growth and development. We need to clear these blockages in order to balance our karma and evolve.

They're most noted in synastry; these can be an arrow to what the relationship is here for in the present.

Hope that helps!
