I haven't experienced it personally, but it's a potent aspect. The way I would analyze this: I would look to the aspects Venus receives in the natal. It will tell us what kind of aspects that Venus likes (hard or soft or in combination). Does the square complete another structure, or creates a square for a Venus receiving only soft aspects? All these questions need to be answered to understand the role this square plays. Because it could be an aspect for strong love or unrequited love or power play, depending on the integration of the square in the natals and the synastry. ------------------
