skipped step - a planet squaring the Nodes, pointing to a past life issue not being resolved in the past and now looking for a closure in this life time.

Seems rather self-explanatory. You're highlighting and emphasising his skipped step, indicating involvement in it. I'm surprised there are no SNODE conjunctions.

I have a similar, but non-Nodal, configuration: his Aries stellium (MOON-BML-NYMPHE) squares his Cancer (SUN-MERC) stellium, and opposes his Libra MARS-LILITH. My Libra SUN-BML-PLUTO lands right on it. Everything is exact or near-exact.

Actually, his NNODE is 03° Taurus, which I count too far to be configured. It's late degrees, but not enough to really be linked.

But I know the feeling of coming along and being the one that flips the switch, unearthing EVERYTHING.

What's been your experience?

I still wonder, thou...

the sastrology.com "skipped step" article talks about past life rejections and abandonments or unfulfilled promises, forced disconnection due to circumstances.

I wonder if his natal Sun-Saturn squaring his Nodes, and my Venus on top of the skipped steps has anything to do with past cultural tradition getting in the way of love. Which is given a chance again in this life time...something like that

No conjunctions to either South Node, but the South Node rulers are active - His South Node ruler Saturn ( part of his skipped step) conjuncts exactly my Venus; and my South Node ruler conjuncts his North Node ruler exact, at 0'08 degree orb.
His Psyche conjuncts my South Node, btw.

very compulsive attraction

I can see that. A SUN-SATURN opposition, in the present, definitely feels paternal in nature -- but it can also allude to major issues with the patriarchal system in the past.

Either you were lovers, (VENUS) or you were a daughter he forbade to marry for love.

Damn! There's a total SATURN/VENUS theme going on here; with SATURN also as his SNODE-R -- which, again -- your VENUS.

You were clearly influenced by this system, in a negative fashion, which has caused him a heavy debt.

Anytime I seen NNODE/SNODE involvement, too, whether it's straight-up or through rulers or even houses -- when there's an affinity -- it always feels like a 'coming full circle'; like that specific relationship is completing a cycle.

His PSYCHE's involvement is intriguing. Are there links to EROS? Or APHRODITE? While it's hardly SATURN, PSYCHE was abandoned by her family due to the prophecies and premonitions regarding her eventual 'monstrous' marriage.

My eros and his psyche are only mildly relating by a trine, even though it's a very tight 1 degree trine.

That makes perfect sense, then. Now comes the time of the clearing. I noticed that the tNODES have had a lot to do with certain major actions taken in my relationship as well. It IS amazing how that happens.

APHRODITE -- as well as VENUS -- was the one to implement Psyche's trials in effort to prove her love and worth to Eros, which was her son. Since VENUS is definitely heavily configured, that would make sense there, too.

Does his EROS aspect your PSYCHE? It's interesting that his PSYCHE is opposite his VENUS-APHRODITE. It seems there's some relationship to the myth here. That it falls along your NODES/ASC-DSC feels like a lock to me.
