Your Venus is very Neptunian with those asteroids; DSC ruler - stay away from drunks ; it also suggests your partner will have an ingenious side; your 8th ruler suggests at some point you'll be very rich

I seem to have loved you in numberless forms...

Okay, in all seriousness here, this is how I roll with 'roids. Because they can be hella helpful, once you sort out what's unnecessary. Bear in mind that a whole slew may be relevant -- you just have to first separate them out into their individual camps of sorts.

1. When dealing with strange skyrocks, keep the orb super-tight. 1º30 at most.

Then evaluate what's left and do some cursory research. Maybe something you don't yet know is going to be the key you've been searching for in a particular synastry, or your own natal.

This is where you'll see my use this phrase -- a lot: 'is it configured?' which is my fancy way of asking if it's part of an aspect pattern or has thematic relevance to a previously established pattern.

For example, I lately discovered my VENUS is conjunct MORIARTY. I've known I'm a MOON-SHERLOCK for awhile now, but never looked for his arch-nemesis -- or considered he'd be hanging out in my chart. With my VENUS. And, to be honest, I don't have a clue how to interpret 'MORIARTY conjunct VENUS', so I instead thought of straight-up James Moriarty -- how he differs from, but is also like, Sherlock.

I saw a definite pattern.

My MOON likes to operate on logic -- just the facts, ma'm. (Yeah. It's a wonderful sport for a Scorpio Moon, lemme tell ya.) So my emotions are always being filtred through my Holmesian lens. But a funny thing happens when things put to paper are re-translated into reality -- or one of my many thought experiments is realised. It doesn't quite ... work. See, humans are emotional creatures -- by design -- and relationships just can't function entirely on logic. Much to my chagrin. And it's not always my MOON that's taking over, either. No, often times, it's my VENUS.

My VENUS is a rather wily sort for being rather pragmatically placed in Virgo. Oh, she's helpful and sceptical and constructively critical and likes it all to be neat and just-like-so and with VERY little fuss.

... Usually.

She has, erm, another facet. She's ambitious. And driven. Obsessively so. If you've caught her eye, she'll start strategising to catch yours. Blowing up things around the city if she has to. Drawing you slooooowly -- or just dramatically -- into her web. She doesn't just scheme -- she master plans.

BUT there's a downside to all that. (As if the whole thing isn't a downside!) She HAS to best you -- but she secretly doesn't WANT to. Ohhh, she dreams of you outwitting and outsmarting her -- but, but, she'd be at a total loss if you did that. GIVE IN? SURRENDER? OH, I'm SORRY. We don't DO THAT.

... Yeah, that's pretty much it. Despite my REALLY not wanting to, there's always a part of me standing at the far end of a very long fuse, holding a match; sort of with this expression on my face like, ' ... help me?'

Oddly fitting, my husband's SHERLOCK is conjunct my MORIARTY, 2º, if I recall.

So ... hurrah?

The early Virgo sector of his chart has pretty much -- ohhhhh, nothing -- save for his SHERLOCK-IRENEADLER conjunction. Sweet, no? 'The One That Got Away' didn't. I'm not sure exactly how that one works -- but it's sweet -- and my MORIARTY is right on top of it.

So while our conjunction is very much there -- it's got nothing to hold onto except for potential. Costumes, no actors. My MORIARTY is forever sending messages to his SHERLOCK which are aeternally lost in the post. (Or just not being answered, because -- would Sherlock really give a flip about Moriarty if he and Irene are off sipping mai tais in a Aruba? Me thinks, no.)

Le sigh. Yet again, nobody to play the game.

Well ... sorta.

It so turns out that his MORIARTY is on my IRENEADLER (2º) and conjunct his NNODE.

A-HA! Growth potential!

And so it all got rerouted into chasey-chasey, splashy-splashy -- because, frankly, my MORIARTY can't reach my SHERLOCK, and my IRENEADLER is equally bored.

Alas, the unfortunate truth is -- Moriarty isn't THAT into Irene. He's ALL for using her to some greater end (Sherlock) but that's about it. It's a conquer game, and when it ends ... you're back to square one.

MORIARTY again searching for SHERLOCK. And, again, his MORIARTY's 2º semisquare my SHERLOCK. He gets tired of being ignored. And, if this were prominent in my husband's chart -- we might have a really big problem here. Alas, it's NNODE, so, for a good 6 years, we got to play those two out.

And the novelty does certainly wear off.

Now, SHERLOCK is always on the lookout for The Woman. Naturally, my Twin's IRENEADLER is conjunct my SHERLOCK, 0º, because life is so funny that way.

So ... it's back to MORIARTY. On my VENUS. Wreaking private hell. Until ...

When VENUS-MORIARTY Met MARS-SHERLOCK.

Now THERE's a rom-com.

That'll typically happen. One of them will jump from the lot and you'll go, 'A-ha! THAT one's active!'

The rest will fall oddly into place.

I'm not seeing where the Moon is, but I'd guess Odysseus would bring to it a theme of travel and exploration, as well as of overcoming obstacles through cleverness.

The Mars has such a direct theme, wow. What's it doing in the larger context?

@ IndigoDirae
What a narrative! MORIARTY-VENUS in Virgo, oh my god, I am actually chuckling.
With all those connections, hey, maybe you were part of ACD's inner circle in a past life. Can you see yourself in 19th ct. London?

My only question about those asteroids is - is there a JOHNWATSON asteroid??? There has to be, please Urania, let it happen. To me, that's the Sun-Moon, soulmate relationship, Watson&Holmes. I thought that was romantic before I knew what the word romantic meant.

My MORIARTY and SHERLOCK are not doing anything super interesting other than forming a T-square with Saturn.

Indigo, mercy I think a 3 deg orb is ok, at least with luminaries.

Huh? But it's so easy to read
MY Mars is widely conjunct MC, widely opposite Pluto, trine Saturn-NN-Venus and it's the apex of a yod.
