It just occurred to me that people who conjunct with a personal planet the midpoint of my opposition make me feel relaxed, like they complete me.

Have you noticed this as well. For all those who have oppositions, find out the midpoint and see if people who conjunct that midpoint feel very intimate and personal to you giving you a "you complete me feeling."

It makes sense to me, because those persons tend to complete a cross for you, even partially, so there's a strong pull from people with hard aspects (opp, squares) in their natals towards the ones completing the cross for them.
