And by relationship, I do mean a romantic one. I've been kinda ignoring my attraction to him because I thought nothing would come out of it, but now I just... I don't know. He looks interested, actively so.

I'd like to know a bit more about how I affect him, btw. Or whatever else of significance that grabs your attention.

Birth data is correct. I asked.

There's much more than MARS/VENUS and PLUTO/VENUS aspects. That being said, nothing REALLY jumps right out at me. That just means they may be more subtle aspects.

Honestly, what are the degrees of your VENUS and his MARS?

Yeah, I've been going insane trying to get a little indepth with this synastry, as it seems kinda meh but the energy around us is anything but.

My Venus is at 15º19' Leo and his Mars is at 13º02' Capricorn

I concur. As the owner of a VENUS-SUN superconjunction, it's good stuff. It CAN be romantic, if other factors are present.

The fact you mutually have 8H-SUN overlay points to the potential of a deeper connexion.

For him, it's important his SUN is involved in any synastry with hopes of a long-term relationship or commitment, as it's his 7R. That it falls into the 8H mutually can mean a few things. Most of all that it's going to be deeply transformative and not a bit light-and-easy. You'll illuminate things about each other you've been hiding or had deeply buried within your psyches. Imagine playing therapist to each other, clearing out the cobwebs. Such a connexion can certainly be sexual. But I find unless there are natal 8H links or 5H placements, not always.

The dual VENUS-SUN conjunctions are telling, too. 6R (you) and 4R (him) so no romantic linkages here, but a VERY potent psychological connexion, once again.

Your MOON is in his 12H. This is again a sign of a deep, transformative connexion that shows psychological growth with the focus being a kind of therapeutic gutting of outdated and obsolete patterns of behaviour and relating.

Heh, I know this overlay very well.

Since your MOON is 7R, a whole lot of relationship energy can easily be lost and confused in the murky and misleading 12H. It's fine to direct it into 12H matters (overcoming obstacles, psychological growth) but you've got to start by harnessing it.

COMMUNICATION.

NO ASSUMPTIONS. If you think you know what he's thinking, chances are good you're wrong. It takes a while to REALLY overcome the fog of this overlay, and the best way to beat it is by transparency and HONEST communication. It makes it hard to communicate about the meaningful things. Ironic, as that's a BIG part of what's brought you together. Clearing psychological clutter, communicating meaningfully, and changing old, obsolete relationship paradigms.

It's intriguing how his MOON is exactly conjunct your 5C, though. So, he's definitely directing emotional energy into 5H matters; that could be romantic, or just playful and creative. Or all of the above.

Depends on how 'sexual' his MOON is natally. If it's quindecile his PLUTO, you could be dealing with a Hades Moon. Tread lightly there, as childhood wounds run deep with those folk. I'm not sure yet, though.

Add in the asteroids I mention below, as that could shed some light regarding sexuality.

As an FYI, you've got two karmic links off the bat; his VENUS conjunct your SNODE, and your MERC conjunct his.

Further, these are both your 5Rs. There's something about a karmic connexion relating to the 5H here. Maybe you had kids together, or WERE kids together, or performed together, or created as a team.

Also, if you're specifically interested in whether something has a sexual component to it, look at these:

EROS (433)
LUST (4386)
PRIAPUS (h22)
APHRODITE (1388)
NYMPHE (875)

As they've often yielded better more targetted results.

Oh, okay. Posting synastry with asteroids, while mulling over about what you've said.

Oof. CHIRON-NYMPHE, right on the DSC.

Question, Fille. Is sexuality in general a 'soft spot' for you? Do you find yourself more 'sex-positive' or 'sex-negative' in terms of your viewpoint or expression? (The American culture is sex-negative, by the way; and yet, there's so much sex addiction running rampant in our society, the message becomes SO confused.)

Yes, sexuality is an extremely soft spot for me, lol. I think I'm sex-negative, as I do shut down all forms of external sexual expression around people. It's more that I'm uncomfortable being sexually vocal (or physical) around other people, I guess.

As others have said, don't overlook house overlays, house ruler contacts, and then non-traditional attraction contacts...

I.e.

Moon-Mars
Mercury-Pluto

I'm a 3H stellium man, and my guy's Pluto drives my ears crazy (in a good way... I'm Mercury).

Don't fret!!! These are just examples. Even Saturn contacts make me all gooey. I'm mostly cardinal/cap, and when my man is responsible or shows self-discipline, it makes my earthy self get all "revved up." Lol. I could climb mountains...

Et cetera and so on and so forth.

Okay, that explains a lot. Thank you for being honest. In that case, his MARS may be in a precarious position; or the opposition may be much too wide to be bothering with, in which case, it's more about seeing what, if anything, hits from the composite.

Awww, guys!!!

I just don't understand how our synastry is so meh but our energies and attraction is so high and we have to keep tamping on everything.

@Aubyanne, it's easier to open up about these things in the internet to strangers, LOL.

So I took a look at Mars-Nymphe opposition and I think it may be too wide. My Nymphe is at 5 Cancer and his Mars is at 13 Capricorn. What IS opposing under 1º30' my Nymphe is his Priapus. It's also trine his Pluto.

Feedback on your previous assessment:

We are certainly illuminating things for one another. He has decided to pursue the same career path that I currently am on, and he's the first guy in YEARS I've felt that first "zing" for at first glance. We do seem to understand each other on a deeper level, but this doesn't feel romantic, you're right.

Hahaha, you're SO right. It's been really hard for us to communicate on anything more personal, but he's actually opened up more to me in the last week. I'm still reticent and trying to keep things light and sweet, but it feels as if he's telepathically telling me to trust him. God, this sounds crazy written down... But it's how it feels, like he's coaxing me out of my shell.

He's definitely playful and creative with me, but hopefully romantic as well.

Oh, and I checked the Moon-Pluto connection. It's a 9º opposition, so I don't think that's a quindicile, right?

I see the charts as totally different from each other and have little interests/understanding in one another.

I've noticed females with heavy Virgo energy tend to go for males with heavy Leo energy, but I don't quite understand why as signs side by side don't "see" or recognize one another. I think that combo causes more pain for the female than the male.
