In synastry what can this mean??

My Nessus 11'05 Virgo
My SN 16'28 Virgo

His Valentine 12'54 Virgo

His karma also conjuncts my Moon/Neptune
opposite my Sun/Valentine

Nessus and SN are faraway.

Valentine on SN - love from the past - a karmic love.

I seem to have loved you in numberless forms...

My current love interest and I have closer conjunctions, within a few minutes on the same degree, of

His Nessus and my Cupido
His Amor and my Nessus

(Yours is almost 2 degrees, which some may think is a bit wide for asteroids)

I think my asking for an interpretation of a love asteroid/Nessus conjunction was the first post I ever made on these boards. I never got one.

I'd like to think that it can mean that love is unconditional, even for the really self-centered bad parts of the other, or that it can be a transformative relationship. But I've also seen us verbally hurt each other, not in a deliberately abusive way, just in a self-centered, focused on our own needs/goals, not thinking about the consequences to the other way. (It can be subtle at the time it happens).

I do not see Nessus as always equivalent to sexual abuse. I do see him as one aspect of the dark that exists in all of us that we need to be aware of and guard against putting into action. We also need to be aware that Nessus did, after all, die as a result of his actions.

So do you think that means he sees me as Nessus?
Well his Nessus is opposite my Pluto under 1 orb.

But his Nessus also trines my moon/neptune and sextile my Sun exact.

My Nessus trines his Venus..

Keep orbs to NESSUS super-tight if it's straight up tropical synastry. (It can go to the usual 2°30-3°00 if tropical to Draco.) The reason is that it's so slow-moving.

Why do people think Nessus is more powerful than Valentine? Or Amor? Or pretty much anything it touches?

I don't get it. Shouldn't the qualities of the planet/body it touches have an impact? The guy was not a god, not even fully-human, and he died, for heavens sake.

As an aside, I don't think there's enough discussion of the fact Centaurs are not fully human, and that we don't really account for their dual-nature in interpretations.

Oh, I think VALENTINE is tremendous in scope. It's just that it moves more quickly, so we can widen the orbs a bit.

I'm a fan of AMOR, too.
