Hello, I have done this before, but I wanted to know if I might be a natural or I have a talent for writing.

I sincerely love writing, more importantly fiction and I like horror, sci-fi, and romance (pretty much anything made up)

I have drawing in pictures and stories since I was really young and id show them to people.

I looked at my natal chart as I got older and I saw some hard aspects like moon square mercury, sun conjunct mercury, sun square Neptune, etc...

Can you guys tell me how they could've influenced me to write?

Ahhh, writing.

Do you have a strong 3H? If your MERC is involved with your 9H or MC, as well as the 2R in the 9H or on the MC, these help.

I'd add in the Muses to know which genre to favour. I've got MELPOMENE strong, and I'm a transgressive girl. (Like Palahniuk, Easton Ellis, and Kultgen -- the latter's actually a friend of mine.)

Writing is perseverance. Learn all you can about basics, find and cultivate your voice over time, read or consume all that you can of your select media, and write everything that comes to you.

I've got several sketched-out ideas along with a dozen novels, (6 of a single series; the other two are SF and slipstream trilogies) four pilots, and three series I've developed.

I started at 6. I'm 34 now, and a showrunner. TV is a masochist's game. But you find your passion medium and you stick with it.

A bit of SATURN is good, too. Helps. Some friends out here that turned pro awhile back and have been quite successful informed me that it's never so much talent as it is sheer perseverance. That's unfortunately true. After the talented-but-disorganised have dropped out of the race, you get the ones that just flat kept on writing.

I've easily got 40K some-odd hours of writing under my belt. At 10K hours, we've gained mastery. I can attest to that. I've created a whole new genre and form of episodic storytelling. It only really began coming together in the last 5 years, too.

I've got a packed 3H; MERC, LILITH, EROS, MELPOMENE, MARS, URA, MOON, SHERLOCK, ANGEL, ERATO, VALENTINE -- mostly in SCO. MERC (in SCO) is my 10R. My 2R is VENUS, sextile 3H MERC. For me, the weak conjunction (but strong parallel) of MERC-URA helps me with the broadcast (television) medium.

My 3R is also PLUTO, which is conjunct my SUN (2°).

I joke and say that my race is Writer.

Your chart looks good, with a couple of hiccoughs. You may be reticent to 'bleed your soul onto the page' as I like to say to anyone I'm mentoring in the practise. Your MOON is your chartruler, nicely placed in 7H, conjunct 9R NEP (publishing), but your 3R (MERC) is co-ruling 12H, and in the 4H. A 3H MARS can help you overcome some shyness, however, and institute a drive. Of course, writing for pleasure and writing are two totally separate things.

Your 10R in the 3H is a good indicator of it describing a career, however. Being loosely trine the 9R is good for publication, too. 2R (SUN) square 8H URA doesn't show longevity, however. In any case, your career path is likely to be littered with fits and starts, with publishers and those who might invest being especially erratic and unreliable. Still, the 3R trine the 9R can smooth certain snags, so long as you're aware. You may find, though, conjunct the SUN, you stick with self-publication.

In any case, my best advice is keep writing. Do a NaNoWriMo if you haven't yet. That helps a lot of amateur writers determine if they've got the mettle to go pro.

It's funny how you said self publishing because I actually write stories on a site called wattpad! I write it by myself and room home. It's a site where you can publish your stories to other readers. I have gained a lot of recognition. I write and edit my own work, but I prefer not to make a career out of it though. I thought of trying out Nano, but the fact that I procrastinate too much and I'm working on another story, blocks me from that.

I was wondering if moon square mercury and sun square neptune, also mercury square neptune (I think!), could actually hurt me or influence me writing.

I don't have mercury in these houses unfortunately , but my sun is in my fourth house along with mercurry. I also have mars in virgo in the third house, so hopefully that shows! I have a question, I don't know a lot about asteroids, how can I tell if they're in my chart, do you have a site that can show that?

Astro.com will allow you to add the asteroids in. I'd be wary, unless you've got the basics down. It can just confuse at first.

I'd say that starting out on a website (we all did, to some extent; for my generation, it was FictionPress) is the best way to go. If you're serious about writing -- or get serious later -- then learn all that you can in the meantime. I began my first SF trilogy at 14.

'Turning pro' is hard. The reality is that anybody with just a bit of natural influence to lend that propensity can overcome the drawbacks with dedication and practise.

I tried to do it and does it show anything? Do you know how to do it on astro?

Yeah, there are some asteroids there.

I see a MOON-EROS conjunction now, 2º. Do you enjoy writing stories which involve a depth of romantic passion? Soulmate relationships, and what not?

Also, the way you add particular asteroids is in by number. There's a field at the base of the page into which you type numbers. As to which numbers -- that just takes learning.

Very much! The last story I wrote was very focused on the relationship, but they always go through obstacles and i'm never afraid of killing my characters off. The last full story I wrote is that they both met eachother in a rehabilitation, they helped eachother and I guess I see the plot like 'fate.'

Good. That's a good direction for a 7H MOON-EROS.
