I have been looking at my composite chart which shows a lot of twelfth house placements and also my Davidson chart which shows a lot of seventh house placements. Which in your opinion is the most accurate of the two? Also when the ascendant transits the twelfth house, does that show an ending to the relationship? Thanks so much to anyone who can answer this for me IP: Logged |

a Davidson composite is based on a calendric calculation not a astrological calculation. midpoint composite reflect dynamics of the actual astrological positions. a Davidson is a mathematically abstraction based on the calendar date of births. except for the sun and moon ,all other planets have retrograde movements which are not captured by a Davidson. Davidson ,himself, expressed skepticism about his put system.my experience is that the Davidson is flawed because transits do not work as they do in midpoint composites. todd IP: Logged |

It's Davison, not Davidson.I personally don't see how the Davison can be any more of a mathematical abstraction than the composite; in fact, to me it is a more "real" chart in time and space than the composite. I don't think one is more accurate than the other, although different astrologers have different preferences. The best discussion/explanation I've seen between how to use the Davison vs. the composite was written by Ceridwen here at Lindaland back in December, 2013 (in response to my question) on this thread: http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum24/HTML/224165.html IP: Logged |

well the fact that Davidson himself is unsure of his technique speaks to the validity of the davidson chart.I have never seen a davidson chart give any meaning to transits. whereas the transits to the composite are valid 90% of the time todd IP: Logged |

Thanks so much everybody! But my question still remains. What would be the best way to find out when a relationship would end? (In the composite). In other words are there transits I could watch that might trigger it?IP: Logged |

All transits for possible breakups are also transits for a next, different stage. For example, Uranus on comp angles could bring a breakup, or moving to a next stage - a renewal. You can try this thread for the upcoming energies in a relationship: http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum35/HTML/001228.html

Thank you Leeloo! I am going to try this out but since I am still very much a newbie when it comes to astrology I may ask more questions. So far there is no hint of a breakup with me, just the opposite! But I am trying to learn all aspects and it's nice to know there are so many knowledgeable ladies (and guys) on this site PoochyIP: Logged |
