Sometimes I do. Only for the fact that I think I way over-analyze every personal relationship I have/have had now. It leads you to start re-evaluating people from your past, scrutinizing people in the present and perhaps raising your expectations for people in the future. You feel like now there's an explanation for every behaviour and feeling and at a glance you can tell how an interaction with a person will play out. It takes the fun and mystery out of life in a way Like instead of allowing something to play out organically you predict the outcome and have a biased attitude because of it. A blessing in some ways but a curse in others!IP: Logged |

Nope. In my case, you develop better self discipline the longer you stick with it. I could run a chart for every flight I take, meeting I have, and person with which I chance to become acquainted. I don't. I stick to important returns, eclipses, significant progressions and answering specific questions. There's something to be said for remembering to live in the midst of so much charting and 'astrologising'. Moderation, balance -- all that good jazz. IP: Logged |

sometimes. i feel like i have lost some potential friends and many potential bfs/relationships because of my interest. so i either have to hide it, which feels unnatural, or express it and risk people running off or thinking i'm a witch and doing tarot and spellsIP: Logged |

Yes I do. I actually wish I never got involved in astrology. Now I look at everyone I know differently. I feel the exact same way you do. IP: Logged |

Every chart and person is unique and the person brings the chart to life; two charts can look the same but the two people manifest the energies very differently. The chart does not define the person; ultimately the person defines the chart. Its a complex interaction in the end and its not this linear a plus b equals c so I dont look at a chart and assume things. I get to know the person and then in light of that make sense of the chart; the chart comes to life. IP: Logged |

Why would you want a relationship where you have to hide parts of yourself? Of course I know the easy answer to that... It's better than being lonely. But if you're hiding part of you, you're still part lonely... IP: Logged |

Never.I love understanding people on a deeper level. It just makes life so much more interesting and exciting. At least to me. And there is still mystery... People are not robots. They can choose to use their unique energy pattern in a variety of different ways, with a variety of different outcomes. IP: Logged |

Yes I have felt that sometimes, but every person I meet form some interesting aspect or put their planets in my houses and so on. So every person I meet has the potential to teach me something new...But of course, some people seem more interesting than others... I actually made a rule for myself that I dont check peoples chart unless I really become friends with them or they seem fascinating in some way. Once I used to check everyone I knew and was like "are they nice or not", but now I dont really think about peoples chart before they are actively involved in my life somehow... I dont get anything from looking at some stranger or "potential friends" chart, but I really learn something from people I make friends with and then later on see their chart or our synastry. I dont get much from knowing a person is a "gemini sun" either, I only find the whole chart fascinating. A "gemini sun" could be a random person, or my next best friend. I try to see it this way and not let it control my life either IP: Logged |

my thoughts are the same as Aubyanne`s and Lotis White`s. I wouldn´t base my decision on forming friendships on astrology (especially the cookbook one) either. Two of my best friends have what is often referred to as desastrous synastry with me (with one I shrae a DW of Moon-Saturn opposition and square; the other hs Sun-Saturn-MC conjunct my Moon, opposing her Mars and squaring her Neptune, for example: of course it is interesting to see that both very close friends have their Saturn in strong aspect to my Moon). Also, if I apply the Vedic marriage programs you can find online, my parents should have never gotten married to each other. Personally I find their synastry compelling, but some of the cookbook do make a drama out of their Mars-SAturn conjunction and Sun-Sun square and whatever. Anyway, if my experience and my feelings seem to contradict the astrology, I usually think there could be two reasons
a) I am deluding myself about what I really feel b) I am missing something vital Since I think that we have not yet deciphered astrology completely (though we have some vital building blocks), this second option is a very intriguing one, as it sets me on the path to reevaluate my take on astrology and get back to learning more. Doing research. and figuring out what I have been missing so far astrologically. In the meantime I continue to feel what I feel. lol astrology is never a decision-tool for me, a Yes-or-no board, that makes the decision for me. It is always a tool for figuring out the HOW and WHY, and more recently, WHEN. Never a matter of IF.
People come into our lives for a reason. And they also leave our lives or a reason. IP: Logged |

Never. It's improved my life in countless ways, enriched my mind, opened my horizons. But maybe there are two factors that modify this for me; one, I started learning when I was a small child, I have no idea what it's like to NOT have Astrology in my life, and two, I never cared for predictions, I always used Astrology to *understand*. Mystery is always there. You can make 200 charts for any event, but exactly how things are going to work out is always a mystery. There are so many expressions for every single placement. You can only know the general energies that will be operating. How you deal with them is up to you. As a SCO Saturn, I have a need to come in prepared to everything, but I still know there's an element of uncertainty to every situation and person, that you just have to accept and live with. Eff 'em. If they don't accept you, it's not YOUR problem. Take that from one who's been there. Apologise for nothing. They're your beliefs. You're entitled to them. IP: Logged |

Like libran_dream and Ceri, I started looking into astrology very young. I think I was 13. There has not been a time in my adult life where I have not been able to turn to astrology for understanding and explanations. It just seems totally natural to me. Also, I don't see hard aspects as all bad. So if I see a couple of them in synastry it's not like it dooms the relationship to failure. I think that's where some people struggle with understanding astrology. IP: Logged |

Yes I do sometimes, BUT if I had known what I know now about transits I probably would have held off on having my first child when I did. Basically your kid's birthchart is a snapshot of the sort of transits you were having. So say you're having pluto square moon transit (yes that was me) while pregnant, your passing along all that heavy energy to baby & it will def be apart the baby's aspects so you'll be dealing with that energy until well forever. Not saying you can absolutely plan these things...but it helps if you can wait until you are in a better mental state to go thru something as heavy as pregnancy & child birth. How I was feeling back then has affected me & my daughters relationship forever. IP: Logged |

Basically how I feel and very similar to the sentiment I expressed earlier. IP: Logged |
