Well.. THIS little discovery was very unexpected. It hit me earlier while posting in the Aries-Scorpio thread in Astro 2.0. I have mentioned earlier that I have specific placements that I constantly go for. Early Scorpio Suns are one of them. Apparently, 3 out 4 Scorpios that I have been romantically linked to and pretty seriously too (one ex-fiancee, one proposed - twice -, one still jokes about us getting married) are very early Scorpio Suns, as in born one day apart - different years.

Exhibit A: My ex-fiancee. Foreign. TOB known.

Exhibit B: Guy who proposed, twice. Also foreigner. Known TOB.

Exhibit C: Current crush. Commitment phobe. TOB unknown.

Here's where it gets interesting. It only hit me a few minutes ago. My oldest cousin, whom, despite being very dear to me, I avoid like the plague, fits this bill. What is most interesting is that the one I feel for strongest, Exhibit C, is actually born the same year as her. Why do I avoid her? I don't know.. I guess my therapist and I will have a knack out of figuring it out. I always thought she resents me from our childhood, and now I resent her because she has her pretty perfect family while I am alone. Ok, I don't exactly RESENT her but it is simply painful for me to be around her. So I attract a bunch of men that remind me of her?! WHY?! What is the point of all this, I wonder..

The constant is their Sun conjunct my Saturn +/- Pluto (and angle action for the engagement/proposal synastries, ofc). Saturn rules my Asc, but also my 12th. Pluto rules my MC. What is it about Sun-Saturn that I keep failing at, and need to repeat the lesson over and over and over again?!

Exhibit D: Me and my cousin. TOB known.

I also noticed they all have *something* on my Jup-Uranus.

Well, I can tell you why you often go for early Scorpio guys. It's part of your attraction pattern in relation to Mars.

Mars is in Aries in your natal chart, Aries rules the 1st house. So your 1st house works like a secondary Mars in terms of the energy you're attracted to on a guy. You've got Capricorn rising ruled by Saturn in Scorpio, so guys with Capricorn or/and Scorpio placements may often appeal to you.

What's really interesting is that Saturn in your chart sits in early Scorpio, where the Sun placement of these men repeatedly falls.

We can have a secondary Mars house just like we can have a secondary 7th house. Because you have a Cancer Dsc, the 4th house is your secondary 7th house. With 4th house in Taurus, ruled by Venus in Taurus, an attraction to Taurus would come from the secondary 7th house. This is boosted by Venus' sign.

Guys on the Scorpio/Taurus spectrum have quite an appeal for you.

With your female cousin having her Sun on your Saturn in Scorpio, it's possible that she reminds you of a certain part of you're attraction pattern to men, even though she is female.

Interestingly I noticed that Mr Sag`s chart has quite some similiarity with the chart of my youngest brother.

both have a pisces ASC (actually on the same degree. lol)

Both have a Sun-Moon-aspect

both have a Sagittarius-Moon

both have a bit of 9th house emphasis

both have Saturn-Pluto in 7th house

What is decidely different is their Venus-Mars-configuration.

My brother has a widish Venus-Mars-conjunction in Aries in intercepted 1st house.

Mr Sag has Venus in Cappy in 11th house, trine Saturn,s extile Uranus, sextile ASC, sesisquare Mars and Jupiter and square Pluto.

Also has Mars conjunct Jupiter in Virgo in 6th house, squaring Mercury.

Thanks for answering, Lotis and Ceri!

I am a little overwhelmed by this discovery, because my cousin and I don't have an easy relationship. There were some things that happened when we were kids. I don't fully understand or even remember them all. But it was a mix of being very fond of, being resentful and also confused. I don't know, it's like I never truly understood my cousin. And we drifted apart throughout the years, even though we live in the same city. I haven't seen her in more than 2-3 years.

The odd, weird coincidence here is that these men have behaved pretty on/off with me. The same way I behaved with her. She was usually the one to push for contact, or meetings, the one who always wanted more time together. I don't know, I have had this awkward feeling towards her that I'm not sure precisely where it stems from. I don't think she reminds me of these men, I think these men were supposed to remind me of her. I do regret not being on better terms with her. I have two nephews that I don't spend time with. These people are my blood and I behave as if they're strangers.

And all because of my twisted childhood and the guilt and the shame I was left with. I'm only now realizing the magnitude of the alienation it caused.

Speaking of Mars and 1st house, Lotis.. do you know what else is odd? The fact that a composite Sun between my Aries Sun and their early Scorpio Sun falls on 20-23 Capricorn. On my Asc/1st house..

IMO, this comes from two factors: the fact that Mars/Saturn Pluto is making that cardinal cross with your ASC/DSC. You will always be attracted to Venus (and possibly Sun, ASC) sitting on the four points of this cross - the best option however, in terms of compatibility, would be Cap/Cancer. Sun in Leo with Venus in Cancer (or viceversa) or Sun in Cap with Venus in Aqua (or viceversa) are the most compatible for your Mars.

The Mars Pluto Saturn opp suggests a masculine ideal: Aries with Scorp and Cap/Aqua, hence the attraction.

The second factor is your Venus liking a Scorpio Mars/Sun. Emphasized by Mars/Pluto sq your DSC.

A Cardinal fellow with fixed placements (or viceversa) is the most compatible with you.

Everything mentioned here already is great. Here's a little contribution from the House Chart perspective, only for the known TOBs.

Guy B's MC falls in early Scorpio in your house chart. Saturn being the natural MC ruler, that connects the way you feel his Saturn energy with your Saturn placement. Since this is your CR, a strong case of finding yourself in this guy is present, as he mirrors a lot of yourself back to you. You can sort of see it as a Saturn-Saturn conjunction in early Scorpio, on the AC.

Your cousin's DC - the way we relate to others - is also around that place in your house chart. Since the DC is ruled by Venus, it comes out as a sort of Saturn-Venus conjunction in Scorpio between you. Does that resonate with your relationship with her?

Yeah, that is really interesting. It's like those early Scorpio Sun's complete the puzzle of your Mars attraction pattern. And I totally think LeeLoo has a point about Pluto and Saturn in opposition to your Mars having an influence here. These aspects to your Mars mirror the pattern of your Secondary Mars House. It increases the Scorp/Cap energy of your Mars attraction pattern.
