I just realized* that if I've done my math correctly, my venus is on the mid point between my guy's sun/merc/venus opposition to moon.

You would think Venus on mid point to all that would be good, right? But considering that means my Venus squares his sun (6)/merc(5)/venus(9)/moon(2), I'm not sure...

Anyone want give me their thoughts?

Hmmm.... I do jump the gun some times don't I!? I was so happy to figure out how to calculate midpoints that I didn't think that the orb is too wide, it's about 1.75.

(*I know, I'm slow sometimes!)

I do try and keep my midpoints to about 1º30, but what you're dealing with isn't a true midpoint, but a planetary picture -- to use a Uranian astrology term.

When we've got a stellium, we want to break it down into separate parts. There's a reason for this. How it's broken down can actually reveal some incredible insights into what's going on.

For example, I've got VERTEX conjunct DSC in two of my composites. One's from the 6H, the other in the 7H. While CHIRON is 5º from the first, it's exactly (0º20) conjunct the second's DSC.

Breaking it down, we've got a 0º25 VERTEX/CHIRON=DSC in the first; in the second, however, it's VERTEX/DSC=CHIRON.

Who really cares, right?

Look at the two. The first is 'fated healing brings relationship', while the second is 'fated relationship brings healing'.

Two completely different states of being here. This kind of clarity can ONLY be achieved when we properly break down (by orb) midpoints in a stellium and form the appropriate planetary picture.

So, what are the degrees of the stellium? That's where you start.

LOL. I do <3 you. But you do sometimes talk way above my pay grade!

This is the first time I've calculated mid-points. I'm really proud of myself.

Let's see if we can take this piece by piece so I can understand.

First "it's not a mid-point".... A mid-point is the degree between the two planets? Is that correct? So you really mean "it's not a mid-point conjunction" because the orbs are too wide?

Here are my advanced calculations!

Sun/merc at 15Aqua and Venus at 0Aqua opp moon 7Leo. the mid point between sun/merc would be 11 Scorpio and Venus/moon mid-point would be 3.5 Scorpio, no? Merc is less than half a degree conj sun.

My Venus is at 9 Scorpio making 2deg orb to sun/merc. It's less, but keeping it simple by ignoring the mins, plz. Numbers and me don't mix! And Venus is wide at whatever 9 minus 3.5 is.

Are you saying because the orb is greater than 1.30 it's not a "mid point" or are you saying that because there is a stellium it's not a mid point? I'm confuzzzed.

The other point you are making is that we have to break down each aspect separately to make the interpretation?

Like take sun/moon mid point, then merc/moon midpoint then... etc... etc and look at them separately? Or are you saying something different?

It's difficult to say if his sun/merc are in 9H or 10H, Venus is probably in OK 9H, moon is well and truly in the middle of 3H.

We have his birth time as close as his mother and I could get it. But the MC is at 16, so if we are off by 10/15 mins or so we could be talking about 10H vs 9H.

Sorry!

That's why I asked for the degrees. That way I can help sort some things out.

Okay, let's take a look at what's going on here ....
