I've been reading a bunch of older threads on this synastry connection. There are a lot of claims that a tight trine/sextile or conjunction of under 5 degrees makes this a super high indicator of a long term relationship.

What about the negative aspects between chiron and venus? Do they still go under the 5 degree rule? Or do you use bigger orbs for those?

So anything over that doesn't count? I'm looking at a synastry between two friends right now where they both have a double whammy venus square chiron but both are at 7 degrees. Should I not count these in their chart?

Almost all the chiron aspects they have together are squares but they are all over 5 degrees except for his chiron square her sun at 2 degrees and his Chiron trine her Saturn at 1 degree. All the other aspects are negative, but have much wider orbs of 6 degrees or more.
