When considering synastry with another person how much weight (if any) do you attach to Chinese astrology signs? How do they fit with the western aspects of the chart? IP: Logged |

I think they are significant. My year sign is the Rabbit, and I've always felt it resonated very much with my personality, but I was still perplexed about the fact that the sign changed every year. Then I discovered people actually had four signs (year, month, day and time) and I was not surprised when I found out I was actually a triple bunny, and a dog. The corresponding western signs for Rabbit and Dog are Libra and Pisces (if I'm not mistaken -- you can find the rest on the internet), that happen to be my dominants (I'm a Neptunian Libra). I haven't studied Chinese astrology more, so that's all I know. Western is already very complex for me IP: Logged |

I attach a lot of weight to the Year sign, I find the descriptions are usually accurate. I've never explored the rest of it. Too much complexity, juggling both Western and Chinese astrology. Sometimes the two contradict each other. For example, my Chinese ASC is Rooster (Virgo) while my Western ASC is Leo. *shakes head* IP: Logged |
