For example: Person A's chiron is in opposition to Person B's personal planets in synastry, but in their composite, chiron trines all of the personal planets.Do synastry aspects override composite aspects? If you have negative aspects between two planets in synastry, but they make a positive aspect in composite, which one would ultimately be felt or felt more? Another example: A couple has venus square mars both ways (double whammy) in synastry, but in their composite, mars in conjunct their Sun-moon-mercury-venus love stellium. I hope I'm making sense. Composite aspects are those made by the relationship itself; their coming together as a single entity. Synastry are the individual dynamics that operate in comparison to each other. And a SUN conjunct MOON in composite, along with VENUS, is one of the strongest bonds I've seen. I'm not that wild about the 'love stellium'. It's as much a 'close friendship stellium' as it is anything. It is legitimately binding, however. Composite SUN, MOON, VENUS, MARS is the relationship of lovers, and potentially soulmates. The synastry will not 'override' it. However, hard synastry can cause delays in creating that beautiful composite. IP: Logged |

IMO Composite and Synastry are just two different languages that ultimately communicate a similar phrase. You can choose to be fluent in either one and come up with potentially similar conclusions. I only use Synastry myself. I have not found the notion that Synastry charts are for the beginning of a relationship while Composite charts are what happens after a year together to be true. From what I've seen Synastry aspects are just as strong 10 years later as they were 8 months in. So I think it's just a matter of choosing which language you want to learn and going from there rather than pitting one against the other.IP: Logged |

That's why I feel so strongly. We have a Sun-Moon-Mercury-Venus-Mars stellium in Capricorn in Composite with a chiron trine to the stellium. The stellium is located in the composite 6th house. I am a Scorpio with 6th house stellium and he is an aquarius with a 6th house stellium. He also has Saturn conjunct his stellium. Our synastry & composite are both binding. IP: Logged | |
