Your Jupiter looks like it's at the MP between the Moon-Venus synastry contact in your 5H which is great for romance. Temperamentally you're very similar. You both have Sun-Mercury in earth signs and you have a Virgo Moon conjunct his ASC. You're a Venus in Aries and Moon in Virgo. He has Venus in Aquarius, but Moon in Aries. So it looks like you both run hot and cold, romantically and emotionally. You have a similar dichotomy between one side that is a realist, rational, and cautious, while another side is hot tempered, impulsive, and passionate. He's a pistol with that Moon-Mars opposition with a hair trigger, controlling, impulsive, with strong appetites and passions. Also, he can attract controlling women. You have a Moon square Mars, which is similar. I think both of you having the hard aspect can make it easier for you to handle each other.

Natally, you have a Moon-Saturn/Uranus-Mars mutable t-square. You've probably been confronted with tough/harsh circumstances and life experiences that make it difficult for you trust others. There is enormous mental and physical tension associated with these planets in major aspect. They can sometimes bring close encounters with violence or madness. His Neptune sits on one end of the t-square conjunct your Uranus-Saturn, opposing your Mars, and square your Moon. I can't tell whether his Sun square Mars is in orb, but if it is, he's used to conflict and struggle in his life as well. He's probably also seen things that most of us can't even imagine. So, he can help to soften those hard edges in your personality. But on the other hand, because it's his Neptune, he's also very vulnerable to you and may be overwhelmed. Mars-Saturn-Uranus in my opinion is probably the toughest and harshest combination in astrology, other than Saturn-Pluto. And guess what, he has that too! His Saturn-Pluto opposes your Venus, and here lies what looks to be what's problematic in this synastry. The gaiety, lightness and pleasure associated with Venus, especially in the 5H, has his Saturn-Pluto opposing it. On the positive side, it brings in a quality of gravitas or seriousness to the relationship. But with your Venus and Jupiter in the 5H which wants romance, wants to enjoy and have a good time, his Saturn-Pluto is going to throw a wrench into it at some point. With the conjunction in Libra, he's probably very fearful of intimate relationships. So, his partner is likely to see all his defense mechanisms mobilized, which can manifest as distancing or a need for space, or periods when he's cool or not engaged, or being critical of you. Your Saturn squares his Moon, so there may a tendency at times to be critical and judgmental on both sides.

His Jupiter on the cusp of your 12H conjunct your Pluto in Scorpio I think may mean he's protective of you on a deep level. He may have insight into parts of you that you may not be aware of, or he may have a healing influence on you. Other than his Jupiter and your Pluto in Scorpio in your 12H, the water element is almost missing in this synastry. It may be difficult to be vulnerable and to express your feelings and emotions to each other, except when you're angry, but the anger may mask the vulnerability underneath. It may help to keep that in mind. Also, things I've said about what looks to be the dynamic between you may not come into play unless and until you're together, or if you're only seeing each other for brief periods of time.

What I was thinking at the time of writing is that Neptune is permeable, it doesn't have boundaries, so with your Saturn-Uranus on his Neptune, he may pick up on and absorb the tensions and the stress from your t-square. His Neptune is on his IC, so his vulnerability may be well hidden, along with a soft, dreamy side of him that only those close to him see. You're similar with Pisces on your IC. His Sun and Neptune are in his 4H, so I think his home is his castle. Your Neptune is conjunct his Sun, so together I imagine you two could create a sanctuary or a haven. But at times, your Saturn-Uranus on his 4H Neptune may be grating and uncomfortable for him.

You have a Mars-Neptune hard aspect both ways. There may be a tendency to be indirect, evasive, or even deceptive with each other on some level. Or, one of you may act in a way that triggers evasive maneuvers in the other. This may be something to watch out for. Mars-Neptune also heightens fantasy and action inspired by vision and imagination.
