Thanks, Vajra. This topic grips my attention, too.

I absolutely feel that when a soul group experiences a major war, fall of an empire, (Rome, Atlantis, Pompeii, etc.) it will show prominently in the synastries of those who were present at that time.

I've also been studying the Royal Stars (REGULUS, especially) as well as certain TNPs, (KRONOS) to find linkages those who may have been in power during these times of great upheaval. With REGULUS, I've had some strong hits, figuring prominently in both synastry and composite.

That clicked for me, as I do feel there was a 'royal' or otherwise politically powerful connexion. (Along with the MARS, SATURN, SUN, NODAL prominent synastry.)

Well stated, Vajra. Yes. There's an almost inexplicable immediate trust and respect. He calls me his shieldmaiden, saying how extremely rare it is to find one who will run into, rather than away from the fray. Granted, we both have backgrounds in LE, and have received the appropriate training.

Funny you mentioned ATLANTIS.

It's more the Draconic, along with my 29º LEO (Dwad) MOON and ISIS (also conjunct REGULUS) that seems to confirm the independent claims of Atlantean royalty. And many, many dreams.

Huh! We have VENUS conjunct NNODE, too. That one can certainly smooth over all kinds of 'rough edges'.

I concur with you in regards to first arriving at certain facets of karma, for lack of better, through visions, dreams, meditations, and so on. I've really found myself confirming the aforementioned (and far more) via astrology, than anything truly 'new' popping up. Oh, sure -- nuances and greater detail -- but I had the 'broad strokes'.

Anytime CHIRON appears in a karmic pattern, we're trying to heal a wound. If they've got something right on that CHIRON, undoubtedly, they both uncover that wound, and, we hope, can assist in its healing. No doubt, as we're on track for it to become a greater strength -- a source of insight, instruction, and guidance.

I forgot to mention we're 13 years apart, too. I'm convinced this is oddly common for karmic relationships of a particular nature with outstanding debt.

Another idea would be to take historical examples of such relationships as a point of comparison - if anyone has an idea who to look at, please make suggestions!

With History channel's Texas Rising 10-part mini-series coming the US Memorial Day, there's been talk of General Sam Houston and Erastus "Deaf" Smith having had a supporting relationship over whatever time. BFFs is the wrong word even if not modern, but Deaf working as a courier in all that and ending up as more or less of a "silent" supporting figure behind Houston is what I get out of their relation from the pre-series discussions about their camaraderie.

I'm probably more or less basing it on the interview below, and Sam Houston having said "He was my stay in darkest hour" of Smith? 2:30 onward for their discussion about their characters.

http://www.accesshollywood.com/jeffrey-dean-morgan-and-bill-paxton- discuss-texas-rising-roles_video_2569137 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Texas_Rising
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sam_Houston
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deaf_Smith
http://www.astrotheme.com/astrology/Sam_Houston

I was grateful to see all the relevant people seem to have their DOBs listed and Astrotheme even has a 10pm TOB for Houston, so that is even better still and excellent really. Even Houston's third wife Margaret has a DOB listed on Wiki if someone wants to look at regular marital synastry. I should have been asleep hours ago so I shouldn't be writing even this here, or now, but I think what I read makes for some interest in them. Interestingly, her birthday was April 11 and Deaf's April 19th, quite near solar-ly.

I'll see about adding a chart for Houston with at least the transits for Deaf's birthday when I can. If someone else wants to look at them in the meanwhile, feel free.

At first glance Houston's Vertex 15.32 Gem conj Karma 17.07 Gem square NN 15.01 Virgo is interesting if nothing else. Sun conj SN. Most interestingly for a seemingly crafty military leader and conciliatory senatorial figure, he has Pallas 4.31 R Scorpio conjunct his 3.33 Ascendant. Mexico 6.02 Sco near Pallas, square his 8.58 Leo MC.

Mars 29.59 Pis opp Juno 0.01 Libra, Aries Point so very near.

Smith has Venus-Abundantia-Mars 15-17 Pisces conjunct Houston's SN and more loosely the 13.04 Sun. Deaf's Sun was 28 Aries conj Houston's 28.31 Venus in kind. Moons possibly opposite as the midnight transit start for Smith's bday has his Moon at 12.21 Taurus. Deaf Smith's asteroid Houston is ~13.45 R Scorpio conjunct Sam Houston's Moon, near the 11 Sco Psyche. Pallas 10 Tau opp Houston's Psyche.

Houston's 19.12 Aries Texas conj Smith's 21 Ari Mercury, with the latter the courier as said.

Coincidentally, need to see if there are more "Old West" style asteroids or something for me to look at, since the era, region or time has come up everywhere in media as of late for me the past weeks, if not a couple of months soon. I know I have Texas 9 Sco opposite my Atlantis and Abundantia, but not sure of other states and more, historical places, etc. Any new ideas or suggestions?

Due to your name making me think India I up until a day or so ago again forgot you hailed from the same corners of the world as me. So no wonder you wouldn't have heard of specific US war heroes meeting after 1836's Alamo, rising up against the Mexican Santa Anna to get independence for Texas. I'd never heard of the later feuding Hatfields & McCoys either until History's series on them was shown here. Good to have randomly educational other interests as well, and to end reading up on history even if only in the form of Wiki. (Says my Wikipedia-asteroid conj MC.)

Apparently Houston's troops were completely the underdogs and outnumbered, but he beat the Mexicans by attacking during their siesta. Which is just utter hilarity and ahaha-snorts. Who wins a battle over a greater force in 18 minutes? Kind of slightly love the guy, that is, the more I read. Then again, my Mercury is conjunct his NN so maybe it's just right I spread the word a little bit when it comes to him. Sun conjunct Valentine and Valentine square his Sun, too, whatever its worth. He also had a fascinating pattern with his Sun-SN being met with his wife having a Sun-NN in her turn. Interesting patterns or people, whoever you end up picking up astrologically, over your travels.

Although, I'm not entirely sure what to make of my Mexico-Karma square my Nodes, since I run into a lot of nodally-geared people right now, and that Mexico-Karma is contrascia Houston's Ascendant. ;P I'd imagine I wouldn't have been involved in any small soldierly fashion on either side, but I have yet to figure out why Mexico (and Niger, not to mention the ever cheery Tisiphone of Aubyanne's) conjunct that skipped step Karma, or why Mexico does pop up every now and then in small ways.

Where it gets interesting is that not only is the T. Rising series-Houston actor distantly related to the historical Houston, he has his asteroid Houston at 15 Pisces, on Sam Houston's South Node, and at least their Venuses conjunct. Some things work, one way or another. I've yet to get the time to check other correlations with Deaf's actor. Or obviously look much at Houston&Smith's charts if only just dug them up today. Enjoy it on your part if you glance at them.

And ah, yes, Houston had Saturn 29.00 Aries as well, conjunct his Venus, so I guess Saturn-Sun shows up as a contact with Deaf, too. Deaf's Saturn 26 Aquarius, near Houston's 23.38 Aqua Pluto if nothing else. Also square Houston's 26-27 Tau draconic Psyche-Moon. Counting freehand, Deaf's drac Saturn might go toward 18 Taurus and that's Houston's draconic Ascendant.

You might therefore want to check asteroids with a Native American flavor too when it comes to him. Off the bat I only remember Hopi, but there are certainly more.

I know. There is asteroid Cherokee (Edit: thought of Navajo, I think), mine at 16 Libra, but I haven't had the time or a chance to look up more lists of asteroids to go through with his chart. I left the Cherokee thing unmentioned (despite his having the second, common-law, wife from the Cherokee tribe he was adopted into, too) since it doesn't tie to the brothers in arms thing here. I think he only officially divorced his first wife (of a month or something at most?) a year after the Texan stuff, his half-Cherokee second wife not having followed him down into Texas the 1-2 years earlier at that stage either. He did so many things in so many places it's hard to keep up first off.

Coincidentally (or not?), the antiscion of my Cherokee is Houston's 13 Pisces Sun and my name has a resemblance to his second wife's name. All in all Houston seemed one of the good guys when first reading up on him, even if he was prone to drinking before marrying his younger third wife. I guess it pays to run away from home at age 16 and go hang out with the Cherokee instead, for a life choice. Might end up with a city named after you if nothing else. The miniseries cast list is stupendous, too; so many good actors being in it that I definitely want to see it as soon as possible, but an actual historical interest in some characters doesn't hurt.

I'm thinking however that soul groups traveled through anything, the entire human history, so practically they have been together in a variety of combinations...it is interesting how there is a more powerful recollection of one of them, perhaps the last one? Or maybe one that is significant in this life? Technically, every reincarnation has a specific and a larger purpose, and the specific purpose is usually a continuation of something that happened during the previous life. For example understanding and implementing peace after triggering or taking part in wars? there's usually this experiencing of "the other side"
