This differs from the Composite in the sense that it's more a natal chart for the influences that brought you together, rather than what's created as a separate entity by combining your energies. Often, you'll find the FMC to be eerily on-point in regards to the course of your association, and direction it takes.

Naturally, looking at the Composite in relationship to the FMC can be useful to see if it's challenging or facilitating the natural influences in play at your meeting. Many times the FMC will have strong ties to both natals and the Composite. How, and what, provides context clues regarding how each may view the interaction and relationship.
