Hi all! Long time reader, first time poster here.

I was looking at the synastry of someone I recently met that logically (we have different backgrounds, interests, etc.) is not a good fit but with whom I have a familiarity and level of comfort well beyond what one would expect since I've known him only a few months.

The most notable aspect is his Pluto quincunx my moon (0 deg.). My moon then trines his scorpio mars (< 1deg.) which conjuncts my Venus (< 2 deg.). His Pluto also trines my mars (< 1 deg.). I feel very feminine and receptive and he definately acts masculine and initiates. It feels significant and deep. We both have shared and opened way more than I ever have with someone I've known fir a short time.

What are your experiences with moon/Pluto? Ever had mars/Venus in the mix? I'm comfortable with intensity. I have strong Scorpio influences as does he. However, I wonder if anyone has had this level of intensity with another person and also have a successful, relatively drama-free relation.

I met once a time someone who had his pluto in almost exact square to my N moon. My pluto in sextile to his moon in scorpio. I run because the tension was to much and I did not manage to meet it..

I second what Lioness said.

Pluto is definitely drama, drama, drama. Such is the nature of the planet. More specifically though, especially with Moon being in the mixture, it's about POWER plays. You may find yourself in the situation where you, the other person, or both, are trying to weild some sort of power over the other's head, insuring control or the "upper hand" of the relationship. Speaking from personal experience, control issues are very likely. While Moon/Pluto aspects create an extremely strong, binding connection, (I've had the conjunction in Scorpio) it can create a relationship so intense, that while exhilaratingly powerful, it could be likened to a wildfire: starts quickly, but much too hot and dangerous to sustain itself for very long... Sooner or later it'll get put out, and there's likely be a lot of damage done in the process.

There was also a Venus-Pluto sextile and opposition, Venus-Mars square, opposition, and Moon-Venus opposition in that particular relationship.

Anyway, not to discourage you, but that has been my experience with highly Plutonian relationships. Perhaps you'll handle that kind of energy better though, since you have many Scorpio influences in your chart natally.

Well Moon /Pluto will transform you.You will not be the same afterwards.
You will love like you never have and prolly never will.
I say it is like the love you have for a nursing baby. It is so primal ,deep and tender.
It is better to experience it and lose than never to have had it.

Popcorn, I have had moon opposite Pluto with folks I've been with in a certain age range. It felt controlling and like I (moon) was too sensitive. Probably like the square you had?

This is my first time not being in the other opposition age group. I didn't realize this until today when I started looking at previous people and they all had the opposition. So the quincunx feels lighter.

Ami, was it you that said primal? This feels totally primal and deep. I don't mind the deep. The Scorpio bits of me look for deep and often can't find it. If we are in the same vicinity it's like magnets. We'll eventually be right next to one another very close.

I haven't experienced the control thing yet. We will see what happens. Honestly other than the moon Pluto opposition with men of a certain age I've really never really had Pluto in aspect in synastry or composite. I was wishing for something deep after meeting many shallow people. I guess I got my wish. *gulp*

Lioness were you moon or Pluto? It sounds like you are haunted by the experience.

All this talk of drama concerns me. Is the way out of drama surrender?

I forgot to add...

Ethereal you mentioned wildfire. it does feel like I'm on fire literally my body feels warmer around this person. I swear he makes me sweat.

He(Pluto) can't seem to stay away and makes up lame very transparently made up excuses to talk to me. I enjoy talking but share way more than I would with most people.

It was easy aspects in Synastry but it was both ways... And the composite was moon conjunct pluto and Venus opps pluto... So I was both... I had massive pluto transits going on also...

It hit me very hard.. I still am dealing with it... ITs with someone I work with.. There is no escape for me.. Unless I get another job..

We are ignoring each other, and (thats part of the playing games) ITs torture...
I just want out..
I wouldnt say I was haunted, I wouldnt change the experience its self, because I am a new person now... BUT.. I now feel a need to escape...
Ive learned and now time to move on...

Thanks, Lionesse. I know this may sound stupid but I am not sure how the composite chart works. Who represents what planet? I have moon conjunct pluto in composite with someone so who feels like the moon and who like pluto?

The composite is neither person per say.. The composite is the (birth) of the relationship its self, and themes that will come into play during the relationship.. (meeting in the middle)
The composite is only valid while the people are together. The more serious the relationship the more the composite comes into play.. If the 2 people have no or little contact with each other than the composite is not in effect.

So with the moon/Pluto in the composite it will effect both people but its more the relationship is a moon/pluto theme..

Usually one person feels it more (usually the female) (my opinion) bc the woman is more in touch with there feelings..
BUT you look at both peoples natal to see how they handle pluto, and also look at transits to see what they are currently going through.....

Pluto wants change... Give in or suffer.. Accept what it is...
Pluto to the moon, has told me, its time to feel and learn how to feel... BOY did I FEEL.. (I was emotionally blocked from feelings)
I fought it, and it got worse and worse, until I accepted what I feel...

Pluto doesnt make you care for a person, it just intensifies what ever you feel by 10.. If you care you will care 10x stronger.. When you hate you will hate 10x stronger... What ever you feel, will be felt deeply and to the core of your being..

Pluto says give me all or give me nothing.. Give me your entire being/ your soul.. When Pluto gets nothing.. Pluto will fight and seduce, and mesmerize and try to control, to get what it wants...

Be careful and try to keep a grip on your feelings, once they get out of control, its very hard to pull away from..

Moon/pluto relationships are very important, and will transform your emotions.. ITs not easy though... You will never be the same again..

For me I never knew what "love" felt like.. Even though it was a false love, I now understand what I "should" feel to be with some one..
Now Im not settling and I have no more confusion on what I should feel to be in a relationship..
May not make sense to you or others, but I got into relationship after relationship bc I thought/was told I felt love, when deep inside I didnt.. But I didnt know what love was, so I didnt know what it was I was suppose to feel.. And being a Pisces ASc, I was "feeling" others but never feeling my self, never understanding I wasnt feeling love...

Thank you so much for helping me with that. I can relate to what you write. Moon/pluto is so intense, it's scary and its hard to understand where the feelings come from or even what the feelings are. I think if both people cannot handle the intensity it totally blows up and both are left feeling totally exposed. the power struggles with this aspect are crazy because each is vying for emotional control not something tangible.

I have this with Mr. Passive-Aggressive. I can't say that I like it because it's like a game of tag-I'm-ignoring-you. The tension is unbelievable. I hate being alone with him. Oddly he's the Moon person and I can't wait to get him the hell out of my life. He's invasive to say the least. We do have Moon trine Mars, but I can't feel anything except his prying.

When we first met I thought he was funny and quite nice. Two or three weeks later he wouldn't even look at me when his colleagues were around. Even walked right by me as if to make more of a point by ignoring me. The thing that confuses me is that he was the one who was inappropriate, but somehow I'm being treated like a cling-on even though I go out of my way to avoid him.

I'm starting to see that it's not always the Pluto person who does the damage. It's kind of like we switched planets; I'm the one getting my feelings hurt and he doesn't care at all. Sometimes I want to break his jaw for the way he's treated me (Mars square Pluto doesn't know how to play nice).

I'm not saying that you should run. If you can handle the intensity and both of you are mature enough this aspect can be quite nice. It could be a very nurturing experience for you. The Pretenders song "I'll Stand by You" comes to mind when thinking of the soft Moon/Pluto and Moon/Mars aspects.

Is he watery? Pisces/Cancer? (And do you have a masculine sun sign?)

If he is... IMO When watery men get upset that you didn't give them enough attention - their reaction is to 'play pretend'.
So even if you could care less about them - they ignore you and imagine this alternate reality - a world in which you DO care.. where you are in love with them - where, one day you'll "catch" them, save them from the scary dragons around, throw them on your white horse and ride off into the sunset where the two of you can live happily ever after..

Moon in conjunction with Pluto. He looks to you for support for his need for self-analysis and emotional probing. You probably have spent many a late night helping him through a change or two. You find his intensity workable, and you don't mind that He puts you through some emotional changes of your own.
http://www.astrologysoftware.com/new_oracles/f&l/index.asp?orig=

Still feeling very tired (pluto square pluto transit) so not posting a lot but the above very pertinent.

The above is synastry, the below is natal and an eg of how moon pluto is positive, same website

Moon in conjunction with Pluto. You have always had a sense of being special, and of having experiences perhaps others have no memory of. You can handle even the most sensitive areas of your (or another's) mind, and have no problem with controversial and upsetting topics like death, dying, sex, and the like. You can't help being a psychologist of sorts. Sometimes it seems like the universe delights in showing its secrets just for you. You have a sixth sense for values, money, property -- opportunities.

Haha well I didn't mean literally! I meant that the relationship itself may become "too hot too handle," because of its sheer intensity. That's interesting that you say that you actually do feel warmer around this person though. I'm not sure I've ever had that happen.

Betty, no. He's a Taurus. For a brief moment a few days ago I wondered if there really could be anything between us, but I don't think so today. The only thing he has in Cancer is his Jupiter. He could very well have a rising water sign, but I don't know his time of birth.
