The Nodes, which have so much to do with unconscious patterns from the past and new conscious directions towards the future, are the point in the chart that says “This is where you have been and what is comfortable (South) and this is what you can experience if you reach out into the new and unexplored (North). Life is a balance between the two and the Draconic chart resonates with this theme—where we've been and where we are going. Remember, everyone has the SAME nodes in their Draco Chart. That is a KEY to understanding the principles at work.

And, to top it off, the Lunar Nodes in the Draconic chart are ALWAYS on the Zero degree Aries point! Talk about destiny meeting intention! (North Node on the AP)

“The AP represents a movement (cardinal) from an inner quality to an outer manifestation. It orients us towards the world at large—society, public events and all relationships propelled from the individual to the collective. Sometimes it represents a "spectacular out rush of energies... and involvement with the world at large" --Celest Teal

Draconic to Natal
The North Node as the first degree of Aries, suggests how our “will to be”, or sense of I AM, moves out from the subjective and into manifest reality. The Node here gives everyone an incredible sense of self-assertion and WILL to move forward IF they choose to develop it.

The South Node as the first degree of Libra says, “I relate”, showing how our drive to interact with others in socially significant ways moves from our inner world and out towards other individuals. Because it is “from the past” it can indicate a feeling of too much reliance on “what other’s think” or letting others do things for us, or even run our lives. In this Libra - Aries polarity we have to make our own decisions and find how growth comes form our own experiences and adds to our capacity to relate. http://www.falconastrology.com/draconic.html

Moon's N. Node (Dragon's Head, Rahu) and Moon's S. Node (Dragon's Tail, Ketu) are points where the Moon's orbit intersects the Ecliptic--Sun's path relative to the Stars in the Celestial Vault. North means manifest, and South means hidden.

Moon and Sun are the largest apparent bodies in the Sky. Eclipses occur on/near the Ecliptic (Sun's path) and Moon's Nodal Axis. Solar eclipse when Moon conjunct Sun, and Lunar eclipse when Moon oppose Sun. Eclipse's powerful influence can extend over months, and years.

Tropical Zodiac is defined relative to the Vernal Equinox (Ecliptic intersection with Celestial Equator). Reference beginning point is 0 Aries (Aries Point). Zodiac Signs are 12 equal 30-degree divisions, named after Constellations. Sidereal Zodiac is based on Constellations, groups of fixed stars.

Draconic Chart "Zodiac" begins at Moon's N. Node. It's really a ratio differential relative to Tropical Zodiac. While Tropical and Sidereal Zodiacs are fixed (to AP or fixed stars), Draconic Chart signs are VARIABLE, according to the angular distance between a native's natal Moon's N. Node, and Tropical 0 Aries.

So, comparing Draco to Draco chart placements using Tropical Sign meanings doesn't make sense--unless the NNs' Tropical positions are identical. Instead, angular distance from NN to placements in each chart can be compared. Ex: Her NN 15ARI + dSun 15TAU, and His NN 15LIB + dSun 15SCO--are similar, and meaningful.

Moon's Nodes are related to 18 year (approx) Saros Cycle, in which Eclipses recur near same place on Earth. http://www.lunarliving.org/moon/solareclipse-lunareclipse-sarosfamily.html

Typically, there are 2 lunar and 2 solar eclipses related to a birth: 2 prenatal and 2 postnatal eclipses. Eclipse degrees are HIGHLY significant during a lifetime. Ex: my prenatal solar eclipse at 19SCO36, prenatal lunar eclipse at 5GEM-SAG16. Postnatal lunar eclipse at 3TAU-SCO16, postnatal solar eclipse at 18TAU22.

Notice how the eclipses are moving backward in Tropical Zodiac. This is related to Moon's Nodes backward motion. Draconic interval from NN to AP can be closer forward or backward in time. Ex: my TAU15 NN, and Draco Interval is about 45 degrees forward in time and Tropical Zodiac. Contradistinct someone born with AQUA15 N Node, and Draco Interval 45 degrees backward in time.

Notice that prenatal solar eclipse was near S. Node. And postnatal solar was near N. Node. Solar eclipses can have effects over a year before, or after birth. Eclipses alternate between N and S Nodes.
