As I see it, they make good friends, but not really the greatest long-therm partners... allthough I see a couple of famous couples. But some personal planets in leo/libra would make it much more compatible that is for sure, and there is a good chance that they will share some conjunctions because they are right next to each other... The leo could also have some placements in cancer/virgo, which would be even better.

I think compatibility has more to do with just the Sun sign alone.

Its not about the Sun sign itself even. It's about the merging of the energies.

Even Linda herself often said that Asc,Moon complementary positions go a long way in alleviating much of the "incompatibility" that is inferred from the Sun sign positions alone.

I am a Virgo with a Leo dominated chart. I loooooooooove Leos! Love them!

I've never had one as an actual partner though because they have never reciprocated the romantic interest (beyond sex anyway).

But my Virgo energy is still there and I am not sure that we could have ever lived together if any of those friendships/sexual encounters had turned into relationships/partnerships.

The reason is that I am very introverted and quiet when at home and my Leo energy is on max thrust when I am out of the home. So at home, I like a little space and the Leo men I have know enjoy being the center of the solar system a little too much.

Ohhh alright, I understand. I'm pretty quiet and reserved at home as well It's kind of odd because you'd expect me to be more of a Sagittarius when I'm in my home environment. Anyway, what is your Moon Sign? Which Leo influences do you have?

That would be me Moon, Venus and Uranus conjunct NN.
There needs to be the right age difference
and the inner planets cannot be conflicted by outer and inner of other person.
I did it twice in34 years, 18 months max,, not recommended, but sometimes compelling life lessons come in doses like that.
Sometimes the heart leads. Leo and Virgo can be each others best buddies and tools.
But it all depends on placements.

Actually I think it's quite common to be attracted to the sign next door to our Sun so to speak. This is because people often have Venus or Mercury in the next door sign, which increases the possibility that a planet in a next door sign will be ruling the 5th, 7th, or 8th house cusps. Venus and Mercury rule 4 signs between them.

For example, I'm a Capricorn who loves Sag energy in others. That's because I have Asc, Venus, and Mercury in Sag and Mercury rules my Gemini Dsc. Plus Jupiter is in the 7th house.

I'm never that surprised when I see next door Sun Signs getting involved for that reason.

What I really liked most about him, was how handy he is. He could build anything or fix any thing. He was always helping neighbors. Etc. he loves helping people.

What bothered me the most, was I could never do anything right. I put the toilet paper on wrong, I got out of the shower wrong. I drove to his sisters house the "wrong way"
He always felt if it wasn't his way, it was wrong. I would try to xplain, there's more than one way of doing things, neither is wrong as long as you get the same results.
I never could understand that.
A Leo needs attention, not constant criticism.
I got to the point, where I just stopped doing anything, cuz I didn't want to hear how wrong it was.

I've dealt with Virgos who were really cool, helpful, humble and easy to talk to and get along with. And I've met some Virgos who were really judgmental, ignorant/closed-minded and critical of others without even getting to know them. they loved to jab at your negative qualities.

Which degree is your Virgo Sun at? Is it your sole Virgo placement? Which personal planets do you have in Leo? In regards to your home introversion, which sign is on your 4th House cusp? Do you have any planets in it?

Your Cancer rising would explain your introversion at home. Cancers are real homebodies.

Depending upon how strong your homebody qualities are and how strong his leo qualities are, you may be able to meet somewhere in the middle to find compatibility.

It would be interesting to see a full synastry chart for the two of you done. I find that house placements are just as important as sign compatibility. And more important than either of those (in my personal experience) is the aspects made between your planets, especially conjunctions.

My husband and I shouldn't get along if you only look at the big 3 (sun, moon, ASC). I'm a Libra with Aries moon and Sag ascendant. He's a Cancer with Virgo moon and Capricorn ascendant. My Libra sun and Aries moon are not only in opposition to each other, but shouldn't get along with Cancer or Capricorn (his sun and asc). But, it works for us anyway. His Asc is conjunct my north node, so this gives us a "fated" feel. His mars is conjunct my sun which gives us that physical connection and this is also enhanced by his Venus/Mercury conjunction being in my 8th house. There are other positive synastries, but this is enough to make the point.
