Let's say that your 7th house cusp (DC) is in Virgo (Mercury as a ruler) and in the 7th house you also have Mars in Libra. What does that show about your future husband/wife. Is it possible that he/she will be Mercurian and Martial? For example a combination of Aries or Scorpio with Gemini or Virgo?

You could also look to see which house/sign your Mercury is in, and what else is in there with it.

Also your sixth natal house would act like a secondary seventh (as Virgo represents the sixth house generally).

My Mercury is in the 12th house in Aquarius with Venus. How can this mix up with Mars and the Mercurian 7th house? The 6th house is empty and it's cusp is in Cancer. I'm trying to figure out how it matches up.

Sorry, hit the end of my knowledge there!

I found this thread useful... http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum24/HTML/216505.html

The way that I understand this is that the seventh doesn't so much show the qualities of your future wife/husband so much as what you assume you need in a relationship. So, for example, if you're a Pisces rising and unworldly and spiritual and intuitive, you might feel that you need someone practical and reliable (Virgo) to balance you out.

However, Mercury in the 12th (and yr secondary 12H is Pisces) in Aquarius (edit!) means that you also respond in a 7H way to people who are Aquarian in nature - your Mars in in Libra indicates that you're fair and reflective in your actions, and that you'd respond to someone similarly reflective, intellectual and 'airy'.

Does that help? I find it pretty confusing myself, tbh, but I think that house overlays are better as a tool for understanding your own preferences and expectations than prediction.

I'd wait for someone who knows more than me to come and confirm all of that, but obviously your other planets and houses come into play as well. Some people are able to look and sum up the whole picture (which I can't) - maybe worth putting on your chart?

(edited because I'm a donkey)

I think the houses are only as important as when there is a personal planet therein.

Say the houses with the Sun/Moon are the most important IMO,because that is where the seat of the self(Sun)and the perception of the world(Moon) is at.

I wouldn't place that much importance in the 7th house. Not unless that house has either the Sun/Moon therein.

The Mars in 7th suggests that there is a lot of activity with regards to the 7th house of one on one relations and partnership.

Often people with Mars in 7th date quite early or pursue relationships prematurely-especially when Mars is in Aries.

Because of the independent and often impetuous nature of Mars, this planet does not do so well in the partnership house.

It often suggests separation,break-ups, heated arguments, passion and a lot of upheavals in that area.

You may need to do some growing up and counting to 10 when entering into one on one relationships. As fights may break-out very easily.

With Mars in Libra, you are always on the look-out for when things are "unfair". And you will fight tooth and nail to restore balance.

In relationships, you may push your partner to be "fair", to look at things from a two-sided point of view and to avoid sweeping reactions.

The irony is that with this placement, you just can't stand it when people disagree with you.Infact, you can explode very easily when they do.But you always find a way to disagree with others.

Often, learning to agree to disagree is something that you must learn for the relationships you have with others, to survive.

It's true that I always try to balance my partners with Mars in Libra, and want everything to be fair. Two out of four of my relationships had strong arguments and hot moments. I love passion! I was late on my love life though. If you say that Mars in Aries date early, I'm right accross, I dated late.

Looool you are not a donkey Fire, you very helpful! Actually, you got exactly what I was thinking. The synastry of attraction thread you posted included everything I was looking for and generally, I used my chart to see how it works with houses, aspects and rulers so I can read easily more charts. That came out because I realized that some things are hidden, and attraction or marriage is not always on the obvious aspects. For example, my guy has Capricorn Sun (just like me), Gemini Moon (Mercurian and airy like my 7th house and Mars sign) and Scorpio AC (like my Moon and 8-9th house).

Late on your love life heh? You wouldn't happen to have Pluto/Saturn on the Sun/Moon/Venus/Mars would you?
