Fiddling about and decided to compare my sister's chart with my son's (two people whose ToBs I definitely know!)I guess this explains why I sometimes mix them up and call them by the other's name, despite the gender and 20-year age difference. Needless to say they get on. I don't know if the Vertex conjunction is explained by having the same Asc, but also interested that his NN falls on her PoF and her SN falls on his. I know that families often have angle conjunctions (my IC falls on their Asc, for example), but this is overkill! Also, does anyone know some good Auntie-type asteroids that I can throw in there? Amazing charts ! Same ASC and MOONs, SUN conjunct VESTA for both, same element for SUN, MERC, VENUS. I'm not sure what the POF-NODE means but it's certainly remarkable. VX conjunct VX does go with the angles. Maybe ALMA (390), DESTINN (6583), KARMA (3811), AURA (1488) and SPIRIT (37452) would be interesting to look at. 390,6583,3811,1488,37452 IP: Logged |

The Vertex indicates those fated experiences that happen to us in life which take us by surprise, and lead us in an unexpected direction. It can be like a Dsc in that it shows how other people and external events can change our lives out of the blue, in ways we couldn't have anticipated. The Antivertex (always directly opposite the Vertex) indicates those fated experiences in life which think we want, hope and long for, or have a spooky sort of premonition about beforehand. It can be like an Asc in that it shows the issues we tend to focus on, and be keenly aware of, when contemplating and walking our fated path in life. Because the aunt and the nephew have their Vertices conjunct this means the same sorts of things take them by surprise, or come to them in a way which they suspected it would. They may be able to bond over shared experiences in life which serve as 'turning points' for them. IP: Logged |

Good call! Yeah, just with conjunctions both have ALMA-SPIRIT together (ish), his opposite her Sun and hers on his Pluto/NN. Her DESTINN on his AURA His KARMA on her Moon and Neptune. He's always been her teeny tiny partner-in-crime whenever she's visited, I guess this explains it. IP: Logged |

Thanks for the insight My understanding of Vertexes (and angles, come to that) is that they're a one-way street. Things can hit them but they can't hit anything. So aspects and transits make them significant, but they're not in and of themselves. I did check my chart in the hope that I'd have something on their shared Vertex axis and be their fated connection, but no such luck... IP: Logged |

I'm actually starting to think it's not really that much of a one way street. I'd certainly feel someone's Asc aspecting my planet... I'd feel their persona, their presence. I think it's the same with the other angles, the Nodes, and the Vertices. If you aspected someone's Vertex Axis, for instance, you might have a good sense for how they view significant events in their lives, and how they find meaning in things. Like you'd be able to guess the kinds of events and people that would stand out to them, and make an impact. Also, I've found that ALL aspects to the Vertex Axis can be felt, including sextiles and trines. They're just really subtle. IP: Logged | |
