When you see old couples, like your grandparents, being still passionately in love with each other, I wonder if it's due to harmonious Venus-Pluto aspects they have in their synastry. Of course, there must be other factors contributing to a loving relationship.

Does anyone know if harmonious Venus-Pluto aspects play a significant role in these types of relationship (e.g., The Notebook Movie type of relationship)?

I'm sure it does. It'll still be there, buffered by smoother aspects, but the passion remains. IMHO

Huh.

Well, my boyfriend and I met in 2010, dated briefly until 2011, then got back together -- officially -- in 2013. It's been strong since.

I have a very wide conjunction of his PLUTO to my VENUS, which I count despite its orb due to my VENUS being 12H, and his PLUTO in my 1H. It 'pulls' my VENUS into the light, and is intense without being completely overwhelming. ( ... Usually!)

Then his VENUS is sextile my PLUTO (1º30).

iQ has stated this indicates being passionate lovers for many lifetimes, and is a definite bit of soulmate synastry.

I'd say the intensity comes and goes, but the passionate devotion remains throughout, with periods of it being more dramatic or powerful.

What about the hard aspects, I wonder? More specifically, the square? Is it more likely to wane...?

Oddly, I feel very comfortable when somebody's Pluto squares my Venus. I wonder if it comes from having a tight Venus-Pluto square natally?

The effects of it are probably less in-your-face.

Had the square with my 2 longest relationships. I still love them both, probably always will. I also have the square natally, so I'm used to the feeling.

Definitely. The energy is already 'familiar' to you; you've likely even incorporated it into your personality.
