I kind of know what in the synastry contributes to that. We have the classic of that - his Venus exactly opposite my Uranus, which emphasizes his natal Venus-Neptune opposition (God, his eyes!!!, the most beautiful eyes i've ever seen, but that is besides the point. Lol)

What i wanted to know is of this could go the distance or would it just fizzle out when the initial spark of Venus-Uranus wears off?

The short story behind - we met through a common friend and went on a four day roadtrip together. Basically we instantly liked each other and couldn't stop staring in each others eyes.. spent most of the time together. It's like time has stopped... We actually should have met throughout the last year because there were always events were we both were invited but somehow something always interrupted either me or him. So this was the first time we actually managed to meet (he's the best friend of my male best friend).. So now we met when transit Mars conjuncts his Sun, opposes my Saturn, squares my Sun and squares transit Uranus, making it a grand square..

I see that we do have many tight aspects, including ones with Saturn so these could balance out the Uranus perhaps? His Mars conjuncts my SN exact and his nodes square my Uranus exact... His Mars also quintiles my Venus exact...

My boyfriend claims to have experienced 'love at first sight', for the first time in his life, with me. And, despite our having gone through the rigmarole -- infatuation, adjustment, into attachment, then renegotiation, and a deeper attachment, I don't believe the depth of feeling has faded for either of us (in these five years).

Gotta be the Moon/Neptune conjunction. I went through something very similar.. actually I took pause at a few of the phrases in this post because I thought "wow this sounds like it came from my own mind", even the "love at first sight" double whammy experience.

GIRL YES I know exactly what you mean. "staring into each others eyes" is such a romantic cliche but I don't think people know just how damn POWERFUL it is when you truly experience this. Definitely the Moon/Neptune conjunction in Capricorn. It's like morose code is being exchanged by each others soul.

Haha, yes, I know that too…never believed in this "love at first sight thing" at all, until it hit one day…and wasn't willing to admit to myself what it was either, so other people had to point it out to me. As it turned out, they were correct and it was indeed mutual, but at the time it just seemed indescribable. And yes, time seemed to stand still, hours went by during which we seem to have just existed in each other's presence, quiet and content, looking at each other. Mesmerized is the word, I believe But it was calm, not giddy or nervous or anything like that, a deep peace as in the eye of the storm. People who walked in on us just withdrew again, silently, and closed the door behind them. This happened at my place of work, mind you, I was for all practical purposes a complete mess for about two weeks, walking on air, head in the clouds, and missed whatever professional duties I had. But my colleagues never said a thing about it, never even mentioned it, and just covered for me. And nothing had even really happened so far, except the looking...

That was in early 2012, still not faded. Don't really know what's responsible astrologically though, I doubt it's just a single aspect.

Aww. The NEPTUNE conjunct MOON, too. That's really cool.

I cannot measure that space,, each chart shows a Mercury Venus conjunction, one cancer one libra... is Juno at inverse mdpt.
The moon Neppers and the sn mars is what feels to intense

The love at first sight ... Vertex conj. Asc! That is a smoking hot aspect there. Very hard to resist. Give a very strong need to want to know each other. Can make it feel fated. (If birth times are correct)

But Vx aspects are not necessarily binding. You do have Sun/Saturn which can help lend the glue for a longer term relationship. Just depends if you're both okay with the heavy Sat. influence. I personally LOVE Sat. all over me, but I have Cap des. and Juno conjunct Sat.
