I've had an on and off thing with a guy for years. We never end up officially together but whenever we're both single we are like moths to a flame. We'll be romantically satisfied with each other for months but inevitably we get in a fight and stop speaking. Months will go by but inevitably one of us reaches out to the other as a friend and remains a friend until we're both single and the cycle of not quite dating starts over. I'm wondering if there's anything in the chart that could point to why we always end up back in the other's life and if anything speaks to us actually being able to date long term.He is the outside  IP: Logged |

Sex-based. A man's MARS on our VENUS, exactly, is a magnetic pull. Now I'm not saying it's ONLY sex-based, but that IS the draw.That SATURN-URA conjunct MARS-MOON is a tinderbox all its own, as well as a Merry Go-Round. We'd hope that the complex, opposite energies could combine healthfully, but that can take time. And MOON/URA and SATURN/MOON are opposing influences -- with MARS/URA providing a sexual charge, and MARS/SATURN 'unstoppable force meets immovable object' type thing. I take that back; there's a skipped step. Yours. CHIRON. (I know how THAT goes.) And his MOON is activating it, meaning that's where the karma lies. This is doubly important, given his MOON is his skipped step. You're activating karma together. So, I'd say it's a karmic relationship. There's a debt that must be repaid, in connexion to the MOON/CHIRON conjunction. IP: Logged |

Can you explain the moon/chiron part a bit more? I'm unfamiliar. Ditto the karma, sounds like a lot of heavy stuff going on, more so than I realized.All of the physical things make sense. We do have an insane draw to one another and it is extremely sexual. Is there any chance of overcoming these things and having an actual balanced relationship instead of sex and then fighting? Clear the karma. Really. That's the only way. And CHIRON is the wound that cannot heal, or it takes a LOT time to do it. Study MOON and CHIRON in greater depth is my suggestion. Get very familiar with your CHIRON and his MOON. That can take awhile, and no one method is 'right or wrong'. If you're in an unhealthy pattern of connecting (sex) and then sabotaging the connexion (fighting) to create distance, that likely stems from abandonment and / or betrayal in the past. I wouldn't be surprised with CHIRON and MOON there, as they're both extremely emotional and capable of being deeply wounded. IP: Logged |

Any suggestions on where to read up on chiron and moon in our chart? Most of the synastry explanations I've found don't mention Chiron and I get confused about the houses. Thanks for all the insight!IP: Logged |

No worries, it's definitely some complicated stuff here. I suggest searching the archives, or just Googling to get a better sense of your natal CHIRON, as well as CHIRON/MOON synastry. IP: Logged |
