Hey!How would you differentiate these two? And are both equally significant in terms of spiritual fated encounters? ------------------ Sun Capricorn, Moon Aries, Libra Rising IP: Logged |

I've read that the Vertex can be considered as a 'second AC/DC axis,' except less about your personality. I think it's more about your desires, while your NN/SN is more about your 'soul's goals,' or lessons needed to learn in order to advance spiritually. People who aspect your Vertex will be the people of your dreams, while people who aspect your nodes will guide you on your path. You might feel similarly about someone who aspects your Vertex, as you do about someone who aspects your NN. But the person aspecting your Vertex axis will be more 'in your face' attractive to you, like someone you always subconsciously wanted, but never imagined would come your way. That's why it's such a game changer. With someone aspecting your NN, you get the feeling that the person is very important for you to grow; it feels new and exciting, a little scary maybe. Someone aspecting your Anti-Vertex will again be very attractive to you, but in a more familiar way than with a Vertex aspect. They will feel like the person of your dreams that you already know, instead of the person of your dreams that you'd never expect to come your way. With SN aspects, you feel like they already know you - but it feels like they only know the old you. You might feel like this is a good thing, or you might feel like the connection, while beautiful, ultimately limits your growth.

I've definitely found that the AVX is rooted in our ego drive versus the soul's influence, free of the karma represented by the NODES.Things we want at the AVX tend to be coloured through a personal and ego-based lens, whereas the VX brings us what our soul has chosen. We don't necessarily get what we truly want at the AVX, but we get what we need with the VX. The biggest variable is karma. The NODAL axis is steeped in karma. It's where our soul is attempting to balance and clear the karmic scales. IP: Logged |

Bingo. And therein lies the trouble with SNODE-based relationships. We get too comfortable and don't grow.

A pretty good explanation. I would have said something similar myself. IP: Logged |

I happened upon this and got curious. I havent teally noticed anything with my nodes. Not transits anyway. I believe there might be contact with my moms synastry. But i have tons of action with my AVX for some reason. I wonder if aubyanne could speak more about that? My AVX is in my loaded second house at zero degrees capricorn. Its tightly conjuct saturn and uranus, plus mars and neptune and su/mo midpoint. Major events seem to happen to me in december around the time it gets activated. Its conjunct my current composite sun, and the sun of our first meeting chart. IP: Logged | |
