So I was reading somewhere that Paul Westran, in his research, did not include ASC/DSC or moons with progressed synastry due to not knowing the subject's TOB. He did mention that the ASC would act like venus and the DSC would be like mars. I would think they have relevance.

So I would like to know if anyone has found trines from pASC to nVENUS or nMOON a relationship starter or reigniter?
I'm assuming the pMOON is not that relevant and may be a warm fuzzy for a few months?

At the moment I have my pASC making a 3 deg applying trine to his nVENUS and his nMOON. And it's exactly trine his nSUN
My pVENUS applying trine to his nASC, 4 deg.
My pMOON applying trine to his pSUN, 5 deg.

And if this is relevant:
his pJUNO exactly trine my pASC and applying trine to my nMOON, 3 deg
my pVERTEX separating conj from his nASC, 3 deg
his pVERTEX applying conj to my pMOON, 2 deg
my nVERTEX applying trine to his pMOON, 2 deg
his nVERTEX applying conj to my pASC, 1 degree

it`s actually the other way round, the ASC is the Mars-point, the DESC the Venus-point. However that is just a very rought comparision. They are not really Mars and Venus.
maybe some fraternal symbolism though, some shared area of function.

But hte angles are actually even more fundamental as without them being hit (or the luminaries) nothing big is going to take place. They bring out the planets they touch, give them centre stage. So yes, I DEFINITELY consider them BIG BIG BIG time.

I am not considering trines as strong UNLESS in a close orbed Grand trine.

Do not get me wrong, they are lovely, cuddly, soft, but they are not apt to ignite. But I like them accompanying some event oriented aspects.

Anyway you have some interesting vertex action, that might spark something, whatever that something is.

thanks Ceri

Would this make a closely orbed grand trine?

my pASC 26* Sag
his nSun/nVenus 25*/28* Aries
his nMOON 29* Leo (which conj my nMOON)

Also would you consider sun/moon midpoints in progressed synastry? His natal sun/moon midpoint (and natal anti-vertex) applying a conjunction to my pDSC by 1 degree.

yes there are some interesting vertex hits - the most fated relationship of my life so far! And I just know we have unfinished business.

Is there anything going on natally, EmGem? From natal-to-progressed points? Like SUN to VENUS?

In my experience, such progressed synastry is a loaded gun, but it requires a trigger pull to launch the relationship. For me, that 'trigger' has been natal-to-progressed conjunctions -- namely, SUN to VENUS. Doubly so if JUNO is involved, or pASC.

Which, in my case, was all four. My pVENUS conjunct pJUNO-pALMA on pASC conjunct SUN, 2° applying.

Oh, and PLUTO. Yes. I'm now sporting a pVENUS conjunct pPLUTO on my SUN.

That poor man; it's all George Sand's pursuit of Chopin as dramatised in the 1990 film 'Impromptu' up in here! I hardly recognise myself!

But something had to rouse the sleeping dragon. Aries MOON, for pity's sake! Conjunct NYMPHE! With EROS nearby! In 5H!

Ahhh, well. He's learning.

haha that venus/pluto/sun must be intense Auby

Yes, in fact I have pSUN conjunct nVENUS 1 degree separating as we speak. Not sure if this counts but also pEROS conjunct nVENUS 2 degrees applying.

He has:
pSUN conjunct pVENUS 9 degrees separating.
pVENUS conjunct pASC 1 degree separating (same sign as my nSUN/MERC but tooooooo wide)
pJUNO conjunct nMOON and trine nVENUS exact. and conjunct my nMOON 3 degrees applying.
Also pALMA trine nSUN exact, conjunct nMOON 3 degrees applying, trine nVENUS 3 degrees applying.
nALMA conjunct pMOON 2 degrees applying.

anything?
