Dating this man feels wonderful! Do experienced eyes see long-term potential? Or am I just getting all caught up in the Venus mars trine/conjunction???

I see all the squares, but can't say I've felt them yet other than that it's hard to walk away from this one....I am in blue here.

You have a lot of squares but also a lot of sextiles...

Plus it seems to me that your Venuses sextile each other (out of sign)

Plus...Juno conj Júpiter/Saturn and Juno conj Pluto.

It could work as long term serious relationship in my perspective.

ps: I wouldn't dare calling myself experienced though. I'm an explorer of astrology :-D

Thanks Soltze-

As far as the squares some of what we've got;
Sun sq Saturn one way
Moon sq Saturn the other way

In Linda's relationship Signs book she considers these saturn squares to be good "love aspects" but there are a lot of different views out there on hard saturn aspects. (of course taking into account that we've got some easy good aspects too, like saturn sextile venus almost exact )

I don't think the venuses are sextile... posting singular charts with degrees......

Hey, having a quick look I see your moon in in his first house and your sun (and) merc are in his 7th house. I would think that's quite significant in terms of forging a close bond and means you just "get" each other. I'll have a look what else I can see..

TY littleh. Yes I do feel that we get each other. This connection feels great! I wonder just how biased I am when I look at our synastry. Wondering if there is hard stuff that I'm overlooking because I like him so much

Hi, having had another look his Pluto is trine your moon so perhaps you're feeling that, he's probably fairly scorpionic as he has personal planets in Scorpio. This is a nice contact to have, I personally like it.

Also you have a Venus and Sun linkage because your Venus is inconjunct his sun. Some traditional astrologers don't place much weight on the inconjunct but some astrologers known as Magi Astrologers do claim the inconjunct to be a favourable linkage. Going by their theory on the inconjunct then, the Sun Venus is a very nice linkage to have. I think they call it the Cupid Linkage so this will create a lot of nice feelings between you

When I say a lot of nice feeling that's probably quite strong words but the linkage will create some nice feelings. This may help with the squares but those in themselves create attraction as you probably know! Squares aren't necesarily a bad thing

Yeah I guess having aspects is better than no aspects even if they're squares

I have a lot of squares too. Sat sq mars, sat sq moon, pluto sq moon. I always have squares, that's just the way it works out for me. BUT, I'll tell you, these squares are so much better than moon sq moon, which I had with my husband. We flat out did not get each other.

With the moon/saturn square, it's like the feelings are there and they are strong, but sometimes the timing is weird. I don't know how long you've been dating... it's been 9 mos for me and I didn't notice it right off bc in the beginning ppl are so accommodating to each other. But now it's more like when I need emotional reassurance he's busy or absent, and vice versa. I think it takes work to make these squares work out, but the saturn makes them stick, so that's the good part.

Hi GypseeWind, I've read that about moon square moon; that it's not an easy one. How close was the orb out of interest?

I had moon opposite moon with a guy I was with 8 years and we didn't see eye to eye. It was a wide orb at 13 degrees, not sure if that was better or indeed worse.

But I think what got us in the end was the fact we also had sun square moon going both ways, again both aspects at a wide orb. I think so many hard aspects between the principle two luminaries is hard to overcome, maybe easier if they are within orb because some contact is better than none even with the squares

I'd also add we had no Saturn contacts, I think even the hard ones to Saturn mean the partners will feel a baseline responsibility to each other and be inclined to work at it.

Funnily enough looking back on the synastry I don't know what held us together all those years, but perhaps as mentioned above, the Sun to Venus contact helped us through, we also had Moon Venus and Jupiter on descendant which probably helped

Yes so I hear that squares aren't always a bad thing. Being a newbie just trying to understand how they play out in interactions. I've been dating this person for a little over 4 months now and I'm perfectly happy taking things very nice and slow (probably that Capricorn Mars in the 5th). This is the first time I've been really hitting it off with someone in a big way since I've been paying attention and really studying astrology. I suppose over time I will learn more about how the squares play out between us. I'm really enjoying being able to hear others experiences on this forum.

What I will say is that I definitely relate to the word "responsibility" with this guy. I feel super protective of his feelings.... As in a huge responsibility to not hurt his feelings and make him feel great... And I enjoy doing so more than anyone I can ever remember with! Maybe this is the Saturn/Moon square???

It's quite a wide orb at 9' Libra and 1' cancer but as its a luminaire it may still be felt. Yes it's been my experience as the Saturn person to feel the baseline responsibility perhaps more so than when I've been the planet person but it does go both ways. I think it also it depends what Saturn is doing in your own chart too. I don't have a great relationship with Saturn myself so when it's triggered in synastry it seems to also trigger my insecurities, this is not uncommon with Saturn though. I still think it's the one to have for a relationship to go the distance
