Okay, so someone's moon falls in your 8th house - what's it feel like for you? For the moon person? I want experiences and input please

I think your moon is in Taurus so, for me, that would be you who has a moon in my eighth house (so long as your moon is after 6"54'.) I realize this is only a forum and we have not met face to face. so it's not exactly what you are referring to.

At times you might be mystified by my posts and it's understandable with house 8 involved in our synastry. This is probably not the kind of response you are expecting, either, but, since you have Taurus moon and it's in my eighth, I thought I would point it out. I guess house eight can be about surprises and the unexpected, too?

8th, really? I thought the 11th would be about surprises because it's natural ruler is Uranus?

Maybe. Uranus has a connection to the eighth house too, because of the exaltation in Scorpio. People tend to overlook the connection between these two signs, so maybe Scorpio is a sign of the unexpected and surprises along with Aquarius?

Moon in house eight has a Mars/Pluto/Uranus feel to it.

I just thought my post would be a surprise since it might not be what you had in mind. You are probably looking for real life synastry and this is just internet but I thought I would mention it anyway even though it won't give you much of an idea what this particular placement translates to.

I wasn't expecting it framed that way, no, plus if I'm being honest (as Aries do so well :P) I don't think we've interacted that much to actually see the effects? OR I just have different affects in mind. I wonder if it breeds a sense of loyalty (or maybe this is just how you roll) since you're prompt in responding to my questions as I remember you from some of my other threads. However, I will say Capricorns do always surprise me and that's why I thought they had more Aquarian traits and Aquarian more Capricorn traits.

Not sure about the loyalty part. I like to post on your threads because you are cordial and your topics are interesting. I usually go by topic, tbh. Some people are especially good at creating the topics I like to type about. You could feel loyal toward your moon person, though. Maybe the moon person will keep you interested just by what he talks about, kind of like on here?

I am a Virgo sun with a Saturn trine. It is reminiscent of Capricorn. I think of myself as a wimpier version of Capricorn. They are much more determined and taciturn than I. I consider Capricorn to be one of the more stoical signs and I am not always calm, cool and collected.

Capricorns and Aquarians share the Saturn rulership so maybe that's why you see them as being somewhat similar?

I have an 8H Pisces moon, so if someone's moon is in my 8th, they are probably also a Pisces moon.

Typically there is a lot of peaceful, assuring, unspoken energy between us.

For example, I don't talk to my Pisces moon brother very often, but when we talk it's right to the point with an emphatic "I love you" on both sides.

Moon is in Pisces as I type this, which makes me all sentimental.

Anyway, in general I would guess that someone's moon in your 8th means they intuitively grasp your depth and are emotionally attuned to your underlying issues.

This is what I thought, but I wanted to hear others' reactions and things too. I think it's nice having Moon/8th house. At least for me. I'm more patient with someone when their moon is in my 8th house.

When I'm the Moon person, I want to be very honest with the house person. I can open up easily to them, which can of course make me feel vulnerable.

If the overall synastry is good and if the Moon is well-aspected: very deep connection, can make for great friendship with honesty and trust. If Moon is afflicted (especially both natally and in synastry), the Moon person can freak out at the connection and be controlling of the house person, because they trigger their subconscious 8th house/Moon issues (as showed by the aspects to the Moon).

It's a double-edged sword: the lack of boundaries can lead to a genuine, empathetic bond, or to a power struggle in which the Moon person feels vulnerable and feels like they have to protect themselves from being too "weak" and taken advantage of.

I am pretty sure this is one of those weird scenarios where the planet person (Moon) feels the overlay more than the house person. So the 8th house person has the upperhand.

That's been my experience.

Resurrecting this because I've experienced a lot of 8H/moon stuff in synastry lately and I'd like to know more about it/hear others experiences.

I was talking to a Scorpio recently who put his Aquarius moon in my eighth house. He became somewhat obsessed with me, although I had decided we should only be friends. He shared so much with me, sending me 5 messages at a time, not caring if I replied or not. Sometimes he would over share and make me very uncomfortable. He idolized me and sent me poetry he had written about me often. But if I made one move outside of his perception of me, or told him he had made me uncomfortable on any way, he would pull back and stop talking to me the same way. Finally we had a fight because he was being mysoginistic. I was so angry, I knew I never wanted to speak to him again and told him to stop talking to me.

I've recently met another guy who I am much more attracted to whose moon is in almost the same position forming the same aspects in my eighth house. I like him a lot even though I've only met him once.

Is it likely the eighth house moon would play out in a similar way again? He is interested in me but does not seem obsessive yet. Maybe because he is a Pisces and not Scorpio like the first guy.

When my moon is in someone's eighth house I don't feel very much. They usually behave the same way the scorpio guy did. Very obsessive, telling me they love me after knowing me for a week...planning to move to be near me after meeting once.

I'm just confused about how this overlay typically plays out since I don't really feel much when I am the moon. At least I haven't so far.

That's interesting to hear, thanks for sharing! Your answer defies those who say the house person is more affected than the Moon. Perhaps it can't be detected who is "more affected" and it's just that the energy is going to be picked up by one or the other, with the same result.

What popped in my head was that whomever's moon falls in your 8th house, you will see them express their needs in an intense way (maybe that's redundant from what's been said but it suddenly clicked in my head for me as I was thinking of the described oh-so-detached Aquarius moon hamming out. And yes fixed moons tend to be old-fashioned and "traditional" which in this day and age translates to a lot of negative things unless they work on it.)

8th house doesn't always mean obsession, sometimes it means you end up having lots of sex with them or they help / destroy your finances in some way, or there's a deep bond.

I can kind of relate to your Scorpio guy with my experience that made me start this thread. My friend's Capricorn moon fell in my 8th house (actually both of them that I know) and the first (a girl) has seen me at my worst - ugly crying, horrible fights with my mother, family issues... things I would never tell anyone else about.

The second was a guy I really liked and then eventually just cared deeply about as a person and I've never been so vulnerable with someone I was attracted to, ever. Much like your Aquarius guy eventually I threw all pride to the wind and was just pouring my heart out in different ways. Distance cured that eventually but it's interesting I reacted that way considering his Moon was in my 8th. He was very consistent with me in the beginning. Maybe 8th house means some deep needs are met?
