-My 5th house cusp is libra and its an empty house.
I met a guy and he put sun,moon,mercury and venus in my 5th and i felt nothing for him at all.

- My ex boyfriend have pluto in my 5th and once again,nothing related to this house.No fun.

I have my Sun and Jupiter in my 8th, but an empty 7th, but I respond to placements there. Or at least, the men who are putting placements in 7th also put things in 8th. But there is a man who is interested in me, and while I adore him as a friend, I have no romantic interest. He puts Sun, Moon and Mercury in my 5th, but nothing elsewhere.

I need them to trigger my Pluto too, I have found. The man above, who is unrequited, even has his Pluto trine my Venus, but I feel nothing.

So weird hun..that should be the house of fun for us!

I was analyzing my chart and..

My 12th is empty and i feel like the house is almost "doomed" to me cuz many of my relatives and 2 of my best friends share this overlay with me.Its like you get used to the feeling you know?So basically when i have that in my romantic relationships, it feels confortable and nice but it doesnt go much deeper than that.

-The whole saturn-aquarius generation sits in my 7th/8th.So no longer a concern.But when other planets sits there is a very different story lol

-The 5th still a mistery for me though.

I've got nothing in my 8H except my PRIAPUS and PALLAS. My boyfriend's 5H BML-MOON-NABOKOV is conjunct it, 0º-2º. (His MOON is 2º conjunct NYMPHE, but that's slightly out of orb by about 0º30.) But my PALLAS is 0º conjunct his EROS, and opposite my APHRODITE-ADONIS.

I definitely feel it. Perhaps it's due to it being 5H energy that's overlaying 8H energy? I wonder.

The 5th house can rock my world in synastry... But, it's not like I instantly fall for just any guy who puts a bunch of planets in my 5th house either. It's a much more delicate balance then this.

I'm a great believer in the power of the 5th, 7th, and 8th houses in synastry when it comes to attraction, and I think overlays to these houses or aspects to these house rulers are pretty much crucial in attraction synastry. When it comes to overlays though, it's never as simple is dumping a bunch of planets in, say, the 5th house and 'presto' there's an attraction. The interaspects between charts are very important to pay attention to when it comes to synastry. If someone puts planets in your 5th house but they don't really strongly aspect your personal planets through this overlay it's possible you might not really feel the overlay at all. It's not enough just to have 5th house overlays. We need strong aspects from the overlay in order to have it spark us off.

Another issue here is that if the emphasis is on just one of the relationship houses (5th, 7th, and 8th) but the others are not influenced one way or another, it can be hard for a full attraction to develop. The best and strongest attractions in my observation involve activation of all three of these relationship house. Sometimes by overlay, sometimes by house ruler aspects, and sometimes by symbolism matches (for example, Sun in the 7th house being attracted to Leo planets in the partner). So if we have one instance of a particular random person just putting a bunch of planets in one of these houses it's doesn't necessarily mean anything unless the overall synastry points in the direction of a romantic attraction.

Yet another issue to consider is whether or not you also have good yin/yang physical attraction aspects with that person, as well as relationship house overlays. Overlays to the relationship houses can really make us like someone, or at least be really intrigued by them. But if there are not physical attraction aspects present in the interplanetary synastry romantic feelings could fail to develop. Our liking for them would remain platonic.

The very last point I want to make is about the symbolism of the houses themselves, and how it's not as one dimensional as 5th house = attraction. The 5th house has more then one meaning. As do the 7th and the 8th houses.

ONE of the themes that the 5th house symbolizes is courtship and romantic sparks. The 5th house is also associated with how we GIVE of ourselves, and express in an inspired way. How we adore our children, and take pride in them (raising them is a type of creative project all on it's own). The 5th house show types of things that inspire us to let loose and have fun. The 5th house can also symbolizes the playful, fun side of our father (the Sun can represent the father, and the 5th house is associated with the Sun symbolically). Saturn and the 10th house describe the authoritative side of our father. The 5th house can describe what impresses us, and who you look up to as a kind of hero, in a general sense.

We may have a strong 5th house overlay with someone but if we were only ever meant (because of karma/fate) to have a platonic connection with that person, the 5th house overlay may manifest in one of it's other meanings. Perhaps connected with creative expression, simple admiration, or 'fun' of some kind, rather then the 'falling in love' option. Or maybe we just talk a lot about dating, child rearing, and artistic expression, with this person.

The essence of the 5th house itself seems to be about what lights up our hearts with joy, and makes us feel 'alive'. For most people these things are comprised of... Who we fall for romantically, our hobbies and interests that inspire us creatively, our children, encountering others who impress us, feeling we're able to impress others with our own self-expression, and our experience of celebration and fun. All of these things are 5th house related.

I have ASC,moon,jupiter all in air signs.Mars/venus in water.But have no planets in fire.Perhaps i dont need more air?Im always attracted to libra guys (probably because of the cusp) but we never last.Something is always missing.

On the other hand,i met a guy and his venus and mercury (aries) are placed in my 10th/11th house and was fatal! I fell hard!! Plus he activated my 5th throught the ruler.

Yes, I like the SN activation and I'm a big fan of 7th to, but I have Jupiter/Vertex/Chiron hanging out there, so no big surprise.

Lotis on the other hand....

I think you may not feel the 5th overlay romantically sometimes, but I bet you do need a direct aspect to your 5th ruler when in love; being Venus it is of course more difficult to discern.
