This based on me being the Valentine and him being the Venus. This was in Leo. Venus is bigger; Valentine dotes. In Leo anyway, Venus knows they've got the bigger gravitational pull... Valentine is pure love principle, they both start with V and have strong overtones of the principle of Appreciation... But Valentine is selfless, whereas with Venus it's a two way street... She admires, and IS admired. Valentine just adores...IP: Logged |

Venus has feelings and stuff, don't get me wrong. But if that Venus native doesn't have significant aspects to Valentine's Venus, yes, I vote for Valentine having the more feels/falls.IP: Logged |

Also I've realized the question could be taken a few different ways; I'm speaking relatively, thinking of Valentine and Venus working on one another in synastry, and not as individual entities (we're in IP right?).. If I look at them individually I guess I still think of Valentine as being more susceptible. Venus is many things... Valentine is PURE feeling/falling... It would depend very much on the individual natal chart of course, and the synastric activations, etc etc. ..IP: Logged |

As new planets/objects are discovered our thoughts of what is felt more can be re-evaluated imo, that is how science is able to evolve.

I like how you put it that Venus admires and Valentine adores and that Venus is many things but Valentine specializes on pure feeling/falling.IP: Logged |

^^ yes i love that too!I guess it's suprising but nice to know an asteroid can have that much of an effect. I guess venus has the ability to be selfish in love whereas valentine doesn't. I do believe valentine is very powerful. This would explain my falling as my valentine conjuncts his eros exact and parallels his mars very tightly. IP: Logged |

hahaha steroids for sure! hmmm this has got me wondering what other steroid asteroids are just as powerful as valentine. For example, we compare valentine to venus. which asteroid would we compare mars to? IP: Logged |

I am rooting for Valentine but I suppose outside of my question they are both valuable and serve a function with venus function been more broad and valentine been more specialized and kicks in after initial stages of courtship. Maybe Venus admires, wants to be admired, chased, courted and seduced while Valentine kicks in after that initial stage. Maybe venus likes and gives you a shot if you play your cards right and Valentine is the one that takes the plunge, falls in love and becomes devoted to the other unconditionally. Maybe Valentines picks up were Venus left off... Valentine was discovered October 27 so Valentine has sun in Scorpio. Valentine has: Venus conjunct Jupiter in SCORPIO sextile trans-neptunian Poseidon Northnode Conjunct Saturn Moon Trine Saturn Priapus in Pisces Trine Eros in Scorpio Priapus Square Saturn Sun sextile Cupido Sun square Psyche Amor sextile Apollo Juno opposite Neptune Sun conjunct Atropos Huh Priapus in Pisces Trine Eros in Scorpio! in combo with Priapus square Saturn makes me think that a strong DESIRE to merge and become one via erotic love is delayed until a commitment has been established.

Perhaps Siva but that is already paired..... However, Valentine is not paired bc it can apply to all kinds of relationships including work and clients; it is associated with devotion and sacrifice maybe bc of that NN conjunct Saturn and venus conjunct jupiter sextile TNP-Poseidon. But that is a good question if we had to pair her who will we pair her with?

iQ has been very clear on the overwhelming power of VALENTINE to clear even the worst karma. Being an 'Eros' asteroid, it's often 'paired' with PSYCHE, if not on its own. IP: Logged |

@Auby (or anyone else) maybe you could help me figure this out. So Cusp and I have both a venus/pluto DW (exact trine and exact quincunx) and Valentine/NN DW (trine and opposition) so obviously this is very significant according to IQ. BUT since we're talking about Valentine just adoring the other, I'm curious as to who's Valentine feels this more (me or him?) I mean I know how I feel about him (crazy in love) but the thing is, we have 6 Valentine DW's in our synastry! So I'm going to list the aspects and maybe you can help me decifer? Ok here we go: My Valentine opposes his Mercury exact His Valentine is contraparallel my Mercury (Mercury rules my IC/Mercury rules his MC and 8th) My Valentine trines his NN (7) His Valentine opposes my NN (8) My Valentine conjunct his VTX exact His Valentine trine my VTX (6) My Valentine semisquare his Amor (1) His Valentine conjunct my Amor (3) My Valentine sesquisquare his juno exact His Valentine parallel my juno My Valentine quincunx his alma (2) His Valentine parallel my alma Let me know what you think P.S. I know the orbs are wide for the Valentine/NN DW but considering all the others are either exact or very tight, I'm one to accept this given I see a trend. IP: Logged |

Wow for real Auby?? That's impressive! So how about its pairing with Eros? I haven't seen anything online about this conjunction. Or do you mean 'paired' as in its similar to psyche? And does it have the ability to sustain a love so deep even after the karma has cleared? IP: Logged |

Huh, so with PSYCHE, that works ! I did not know IQ said this about Valentine, thanks for sharing. I did not mention this but on the discovery chart Valentine's SUN conjunts ATROPOS and if you combine that with Valentine's NN conjunct Saturn I could see now why he says that Valentine helps eliminate the worst KARMA. Huh this gives more meaning to my composite Valentine conjunct Saturn with my husband. I feel we have come a long way clearing karma; I think part of its function is clearing karma through the power of unconditional love and true devotion. IP: Logged |

well it has been over 10 years and I still love my ex deeply and always will and he has Mars-Valentine conjunct my Neptune and AC and all this trines my Venus and Mars. We also have a beautiful stellium in composite Sun-Mars-Pluto-Poseidon(h47)-Valentine; the love and devotion is strong and will always be there. Neptune is a higher octave of Venus and TNP Poseidon is a higher octave of neptune. I dont feel I have karma with him at this point but the LOVE will always be there for him. IP: Logged |

interesting about Valentine-Psyche. I just noticed that actually we do have one, too, I usually try to ignore it, as it is a square and wide, but today I noticed: my VALENTINE square his PSYCHE 2°20 (his VAl square my Psyche is out of orb with 4°26) and his VALENTINE trine my EROS 1°24 IP: Logged |
