I've been wondering a lot about the 12th house in relationship astrology too, Virgopill. From what I've gathered reading here, some think it indicates potential for a very deep, special relationship while many more think it means "run like the wind." Of course, observing a relationship a bit could help with correctly interpreting the chart. But I kinda feel like people often look at these charts to try to get their footing. It's always cool to learn more about what's familiar through astrology, but... Anyway, sun, Saturn & Lilith in the 12th doesn't sound light at all. All those conjunctions too. Could be a spiritual relationship with seriously dark, sexual undertones? Or sexual relationship riddled with secrets and deception? But what do the other houses look like? What are Venus, moon, Mars, Neptune, Uranus & Pluto doing? Would love to hear from others on this topic! IP: Logged |

Yes, aspects like sun-sun, sun-moon, sun-venus, moon-moon, moon-venus, moon-mars, venus-mars. Aspects with asc, dsc, nodes, vertex. Aspects with Saturn, Uranus, Neptune & Pluto can give clues about longevity and potential stress. Sounds like moon opposes venus? That can carry some stress at times, but I think it's supposed to be mainly positive. Indicates attraction.Don't worry if it takes me a little bit to respond. And maybe some more sage astrologers will weigh in. IP: Logged |

I've often found 12H-heavy composites to feel like you're in perpetual couples' counselling. All sifting through baggage and sorting through issues all the time. 'Lighthearted', it's not. Karmic and heavy, definitely. IP: Logged |

I agree with Auby. I have three examples in my direct proximity. My brother and his girlfriend (Sun, Mercury, Venus intercepted in Pisces in 12th house, BML and Ceres also in 12th house, but not intercepted; with ASC in Aries) my parents (Moon in Cancer in 12th house, ASC in Leo)
my best friend and her husband (Moon in Pisces in 12th house, ASC in Aries)
These are three very longlasting (the shortest being my brother`s, which has "only" lasted for 9 years until now), deeply connected relationships. And that is the keyword here "deeply connected". They do not have a choice but to live WITH each other; for them living "beside" each other, as happens in many relationships, would never worked out. Or at least that is now how these relationships function. It`s not two individuals just deciding to share the same living environment, but maintaning some individual space, some sort of separatedness (which is not a bad thing per se btw). They are always concerned with each other, always responsive to the other person (including being a tiny little "trigger-happy" at times). And they are always consciously aware of the state of their relationship and in fact the relationship itself is often a topic of talks/ discussions. Actually this is even true for my friend and me, ever since we`ve known each other (over 25 years btw), one of the MAIN topics has always been the state and development of our friendship, and going beyond it, how relationship function in general, what we need indidividually in a friendship, and why it works for us but has not worked with other people and so on. A constant analyzing and counselling, that is true.
BTW our composite has Moon in Pisces in 12th house, too, (conjunct my Juno and opposing her Sun) IP: Logged |

It's positive and negative, as anything else. The person who has it natally may be much more comfortable with it. The other may feel "unsettled". Also, I think that the natal person may be secretive about some things, or appear that way. (I have mercury, Venus mars). Because of this, the "non-natal" person may SEE this as possible deceit even though it may not be. In composite, you're kind of both thrust into it and for the non-natal person it may not be very comfortable. On the other hand, experiencing it in the relationship could help with understanding the person who has it natally. I wouldn't worry. Just try if you like them. You can go over this 1,000 times and never know exactly how things will really be. IP: Logged |

Lots of people have replied and given energy to your query. Gratitude would be better placed here if you're concerned about karma, perhaps? It's active whenever we do anything, pretty much. Unless we're clearing karma, engaged in selfless service, etc. I understand from what you're saying that you figure it is a heavy placement, you're perhaps looking for confirmation of the article on The Inner Wheel perhaps in what people are saying here? It's hard to tell much from an aspect grid. Without natals synastry and composite all together it's hard to have a thorough conversation about all the potential karma being activated, and the thread was ostensibly about 12th house, so people are speaking to that. You're getting a very valuable and balanced perspective, particularly the three personal accounts of relationships with planets in the 12th--that's gold! It is true, you don't just Co-exist, you never stop working on the relationship, and it's easy to get triggered. You're never 'together alone,' what an astute observation. and yeah... it's karmic. In the way where you HAVE to do it if you're together. IP: Logged |

maybe too worried is right, but listen to your instincts and follow your heart... it is difficult to avoid karma perhaps, and yet by giving ourselves the less painful route we are doing good by being kind to ourselves... remember to touch in with yourself and ask whether you are doing good by being drawn in, whether they are doing good by drawing you in, whether it *feels* good in your body, in your mind and heart. always touch in and consider. you don't need to do anything faster than you're comfortable with, take time to get to know them, listen to yourself.very good and very bad, it's all wrapped up in ourselves and in them also... it's hard to distinguish sometimes, especially with the 12th, who is even doing what... because we are all actors in a way, and we are all participating in the energy dynamics and ultimately attracting complementary or distressing characteristics which will increase our self knowledge and respect for the power of the universe, and of others to affect us... when we cease to look at things in terms of black and white, positive and negative, we can integrate the creative teachings of this very moment and not worry quite so much about an imagined future or an unknown past, the motives of others, etc. just touch in with the fact that this is an opportunity to reveal something, and that perfection is likely to result no matter whether it's 'good' or 'bad'...?IP: Logged |
