He does have Gemini planets including Mercury but if they're in the 12th or 4th this could change a lot. Or he's simply quiet with YOU. Maybe you intimidate him.

I'll see if I can get his TOB...I don't' know I can work that into conversation haha and plus some people's birth certificates don't have them for some reason. But are there any aspects that stand out to you that could point to this issue? I'm so confused. I look up aspects for soulmate synastry etc and I see a lot of the aspects we have. What in my chart could be intimidating him?

Yungang I appreciate any help you can give or can rally up! But are you saying you don't see anything that could point to his quiet demeanor? Is there anything that could be repulsing him on my end? This is the same dilemma I'm having, I can't figure it out for the life of me. I know astrology is only to serve as a guide but man I would expect something to explain this I mean Venus in Gemini and Mercury in Geminj quiet and shy? Whaaaaaaaaat

Saturn square Sun is really a difficult aspect, very critical. You might find that it's better this relationship doesn't go farther than it has, anyway..

Ok so the Sun square Saturn could be causing the communication issue? Also, I don't know his TOB so all of the aspects listed involving his asteroids/nodes/ascendant etc are most likely inaccurate. But wow even on a friendly level the sun sq sat can cause Venus and Mercury in Geminj to go quiet? Wow that's shocking. I'll be sure to look out for that in future synastry. I thought that the good aspects we had could counterbalance the small amount of bad ones, as they say that synastry needs some hard aspects so that the relationship isn't boring. But thank you yungang, I'm definitely going to look into Saturn sq sun deeper...

So of the aspects yungang listed I see 3 involving Mercury:

Mercury Opp Mars
Mercury Opp Sun
Mercury Sq Moon

Which of these could cause him to be so quiet? Is it a mixture of the three? In the above aspects, he is the Mercury in all of them.

The misunderstandings which are already occurring would be likely to intensify if you two got closer. The opposition of the Suns in this case is a difficult one because your Saturn forms the t-square... The feeling you have that perhaps there is something you are doing to repulse him would likely increase if your relationship were to take on a romantic dimension.

I understand why you like him; there are compelling aspects which would give mutual appreciation. But there's also a strong indication that your natal tension (you also have Sun square Saturn natally) is being
brought to bear and this will come through in your communications/interactions.

Gemini Mercury/Venus does not always mean talkative. Sometimes it means thoughtful, such as in a very introspective chart... We need to look at the whole chart... Taurus is not a sign which is very into talking, and he does have a Taurus Sun--square your Saturn. This brings extra reserve..

Really? What in my chart shows you that? I do tend to attract Capricorns....my last serious boyfriend was a Capricorn sun Aqua Venus...he was in love with me but I wasn't with him. I do enjoy certain Capricorn traits, like the fact that they're good with money and like to be the man in the relationship, among other things. So I totally agree with you, but what in my chart shows that?

It's best to get to know people for themselves and if astrology corroborates your observations that's great! But with an incomplete understanding of chart synthesis it's going to be very hard to form an accurate picture of a person without really getting to know them.

I am admittedly an amateur when it comes to astrology so I appreciate you explaining things the way you did. Things definitely make more sense now. I really appreciate your help! I'll let this one go. At least we didn't get too involved haha.
