My Sun/Moon midpoint is conjunct the composite Sun.
His Sun/Moon midpoint is conjunct the composite Moon.

This is a friend who i surely do love and deeply appreciate, and we have many lovely synastric aspects (my Sun conjunct his Venus... my Venus on his South Node... my Moon-Nep conjunct his Sun-moon conjunction... various nice things).

But the Sun/Moon midpoints to composite yin/yang luminaries is really something, i think. It so happens that his Saturn is conjunct my sun/moon mp and the composite Sun as well.

The whole thing has me a little preoccupied, honestly. I would post charts but it's a bit of a sensitive issue somehow and as much as i want to i also don't want to! But i basically am spilling the beans anyway (let's just say we both have 12h Venuses, and in composite it's a 12h Venus-Juno conjunction, with Pluto 5 degrees away, making an exact sextile to comp. Moon.. also Venus sextiles comp Neptune exact. Of course there's a Mars Uranus square)...

Mostly just wanting feedback on this particular aspect of things though (the Sun/Moon midpoints to composite luminaries deal).

Here, too.

composite Sun conjuncts his Sun/Moon-mp
composite Moon conjuncts my Sun/Moon-mp

I need to think, could it have been that this was the case because there was a Sun-Moon-conjunction in synastry?
Or was the fact that his Moon was conjunct composite Sun the result of the synastric conjunction?
I thinkt he latter though.

BTW even if I did not have it in the synastry/ composite I care about, I would have thought it IS a big deal. Luminaries to luminary-midpoints, esp. if reasonably tight; let`s say 1°30

Yes, tis within orb. I would consider it significant if i hadn't encountered it in a meaningful personal relationship too. It's nice to know the sense of admiration/completion/comfort/rightness (yes?) is mutual (we kinda had a moment of acknowledgment in person the other day, but it's nice when astrology steps in and gives the thumbs up as well...)

Sigh. Life is beautiful.

We have Eros-Mars-North Node in composite, and his Eros conjunct my NN.. Not sure how to process because it's not likely to ever be a sexual thing. I love him though--everybody does! (The parallels to your situation are increasingly becoming evident to me!)...

I guess Eros can just mean feeling excited/aroused by... life? Because we're certainly passionate about similar things. Especially walking around in the woods, and his Eros is also conjunct my Diana-Nn. Maybe we're meant to allow that passion to fruit/flower and become active through relating. We really do have a lot in common, i admire him deeply. That's the Sun-Venus conjunction at play i suppose--not to mention the Moon, Moon-Sun thing.

Anyway blah blah. To speak to what you said, wondering which factor in synastry accounts for the midpoint aspect picture, i guess like with anything astrological, it's going to be a combination of perhaps seemingly mundane/regular old factors/positions/aspects which contribute to rather extraordinary synchronicities and pictures of complementarity... Sometimes synastric aspects seem exciting but it kinda ends there--sometimes it keeps on unfolding...

Ah i understand better what you were saying now..

His Sun and Moon are conjunct, 5 degrees wide of one another. At the midpoint we find our composite moon because my moon is conjunct his Sun, off by 1 degree. His natal Juno is also on that midpoint, which, along with his natal Venus-Scorp trine Pisces-Mars, i think is somewhat accountable for the admiration he gets from many people.

It's interesting to consider actually whether a synastric Sun/Moon conjunction lends itself to this particular phenomenon in general though, given it's the case for both of us... not sure... would need to wear the thinking cap a little longer

that is very interesting, but to give a meaningful interpretation is difficult because these two symbols are primal and encompassing. they show such a deep connection that one would need to see the aspects in the entire composite to give particulars. by their selves, quite a karmic connection I would think.
one speculative thought would be to check out the double midpoint. that is see where the composite moon/sun midpoint falls in your respective charts.

Yeah I agree, todd, that it is difficult to provide any kind of specific interpretation--with any single aspect--and that the 'primal, encompassing' nature of these luminaries is indeed difficult to pigeonhole and talk about in some respects... that's a good way of putting it. I agree that it's significant and of course it's karmic... most things are, yes? But perhaps in a more pronounced and well defined sort of way, some things cause us to act on them again and again, in either nuanced or extreme ways. This one kinda makes you sit up and takenotice..

I don't think I'm at the point where posting the composite seems the right thing to do. Just kinda wanted to jam out on this aspect, knowing it would provide only limited insight into the relationship. Thanks for your insight.

yungang,

how do you feel your natal Moon- Neptune conj? How is it expressed in love relationships? what appeals to your moon-neptune?

I am asking because my guy has a natal Moon-Neptune square, exact. And my Pluto is on his moon-neptune.

and, yes, sun-moon midpoint conjuncting the composite sun and moon is unique. And quite rare, to have the two combos.

in our case, we have the reversal, the Comp Sun-Moon midpoint conjuncts his Sun and my Venus

Orange,

moon-Neptune... well... it's so much a part of me that i hardly know how to begin to speak to it...

I'm very sensitive and impressionable... the conjunction is 0°03 orb or some such nonsense. I take on other people's moods and feelings like a sponge. I'm also sensitive to my environment... chemical sensitivity, for instance, has been a struggle for me.

It's difficult to sort out my emotional reality from my spiritual reality--it's impossible i guess. I feel so good when I'm keeping up with my practise--meditating, etc-- and not so hot when i don't... I can be prone to indulgence and laziness, retreating when things get to be too much but then being hard on myself for doing so (the conjunction is in Capricorn so it's kind of merciless somehow).

I can often feel/sense/interpret what's going on in a given situation before a word is spoken. The moon-nep is sextile my pluto-mercury conjunction in Scorpio and they play off each other constantly; so that i am both sensitive and impressionable and, at times, cuttingly suspicious/intellectual...

I think the Moon Neptune square would have some of the same stuff happening... Hope this has been helpful. I could probably do a better moon Neptune description if it weren't me i was talking about!

Oh yeah... it is in the 3rd house to boot--i do like to write, express, and create. My emotional/spiritual reality plays out quite cerebrally and in a somewhat detached way, given it's a Capricorn moon, after all... I feel deeply and intensely but I'm really stoic about it most of the time. Except when I'm not! Ha. That's actually often. I'm a mixed bag. Cause of the Mars square Saturn/Uranus... and aaalll the Scorpio.

Anyway, I'm rambling. Still hoping it's useful!

As far as this friendship goes, the composite Sun/Moon midpoint is right next to my Uranus. This makes sense. I show up out of the blue and depart frequently, visiting his neck of the woods for various reasons, but never because of him, and it's always like a bonus special gift/surprise to see him. It suits us both fine, because it had just been... i dunno.. a friendship?-- but I've never left feeling so affected/intrigued before yesterday so i looked at the charts more closely. The floodgates kinda opened and he told me he had come specifically to find me at one point--because he'd had a special experience and knew I'd understand... usually we just run into one another and act like it's not an especially big deal... But it's at the point these days where we don't greet one another or say farewell without a hug, and it is so nice to have someone openly affectionate like that.. i really like him. gah. Such a nice feeling to have a good friend like that. Feeling appreciated seen and understood. The composite Pluto Moon sextile i think kinda speaks of this, and the Venus Neptune sextile... Robert Hand is pretty effusive about both those aspects in composite and i agree with him that they're especially lovely.

There's a composite Jupiter Saturn trine and a Jupiter Uranus trine along with the Mars Uranus and Mars Saturn squares... just to speak to the Uranus factor in this one.

yes, yes...the description fits him too..he is very sensitive to my moods and picks all my feelings without me saying a word. This is his only aspect to his Moon, the square to Neptune, so it is undiluted.

Thanks, hunny

Oh any time... If that's the only aspect to his moon yes, i should say it would be pretty undiluted and intense! And your Pluto is conjunct the Moon? That's probably good, i feel like a Moon Neptune square person might appreciate that kind of intense application of energy to the moon somehow.

Yess this is Always the geometric result with any synastry conjunction (whatever planet ofcourse). Here to deduce a synastrical Sun/Moon conjunction.

Example;
His Venus conjunct her Mars.
His Venus/Mars midpoint conjunct compo Mars.

This is always the result? Ok, coool... I don't fully understand why though

edit: i am beginning to get it. The thinking cap is not very tight on this one.

Ohhh but i stiiill don't get it. Think think think. Why would my Sun/Moon midpoint be relevant to the synastric Sun if we had a Sun/Moon, Moon/Moon conjunction? Think think think. There's a good reason, i trust you... I'm just missing pieces of the puzzle. I don't understand why/how my Sun is participating in this one to create the composite Sun... which then happens to relate to my personages Sun/Moon midpoint... I'm almost there though i think.

hahaha oooh you girls, mir and yangang, I am lolling right now

How did I forget about this midpoints to Composite stuff, We had a whole thread dedicated to it, 2 years ago. It's all mathematical, aah.

anyway, the good news for me is that my aspect still stands since it is the other way around - the Composite Sun/Moon midpoint is on his natal Sun, and on my Venus.

actually I find the very fact that asynastric conjunction will result in that composite midpoint picture intriguing and exciting.

Well, it's very simple.

The midpoint between your Sun and Moon is (ofcourse) the same as the midpoint between your Sun and his Sun because ... his Sun = your Moon!

Yes, it gives us some insight indeed. So, the deeper look behind a synastry conjunction (Sun/Moon in this case);

The Sun/Moon midpoint of person A has the same distance to their own Sun as wel as the Sun of person B.

The Sun/Moon midpoint of person B has the same distance to their own Moon as wel as the Moon of person A.
