In synastry, which is hotter- angle ruler connections or aspects?

Which do you prefer??
5th-8th house synastry
8th-8th house synastry
Or regular aspects: Venus/Mars, Mars/Pluto, Moon/Mars, etc.

8th house for me feels like a stronger, mutual bond. But I also have my moon in my 8th, so anything less than that tends to feel a little too immature.

"Regular" aspects, for me.
Or their planets in my 5H, 8H.
But house rulers' connections are usually not that potent... (or perhaps I haven't really paid enough attention to them).

This is my first time experiencing 5th-8th house ruler connections and I find them pretty interesting! I think there is more of an emotional bond there than sexual.

Aspects for me with the exception of planets on Asc or aVx. But both produce aspects to planets there anyway.
