Hey I've been interesting (mildly obsessed) with astrology beyond sunsigns for a year now. Especially synastry, composite charts. A random synastry chart found online spured my interest Since I'm not in a relationship myself, my lovely friend allowed me to use his relationship as a study exemple. I've read a lot about aspects on this websites and have been intrigued about challenging aspects. My own natal seems a mess

What I'm asking is help in
1)putting it together, like Venus in house 5 square Mercury in house 9. Does it mean that while one is being romantic the other is being philosophical, focused on the whole instead of the two? I'm not even sure I know what I'm saying...
2) They have strong neptune aspects in synastry, mild in composite. Strong Pluto aspects in composite, moderate in synastry... Saying moderate because they are 4 months apart in age so Mars-Pluto and Moon-Pluto in synastry matches their natals so not sure if I should count it. Anyways is their relationship neptunian or plutonian or both? What big themes stand out? I struggled most with putting everything together into a whole
3)My orb count is big so sorry. Also sorry for taking your time, this website seems really great but we all have lives

hi serendipity07

as far as themes, the composite chart given shows a basic theme of love and intimacy versus sexual freedom.

the node is conjunct to Venus/sun and eros with the moon opposed to the sun.
this pattern shows a very romantic ,intimate love between them. as with the node included there can be feelings of a destined relationship or soul mates. either way, in addition to the emotional attraction there a strong intuitive or psychic bond between them . the node adds feelings of magic and give electric sensations as if they create a world of their own.

but opposed to this "celestial" love, mars is conjunct to Uranus, Saturn and Neptune and opposed to Jupiter. in addition Venus is square to the node and eros and venus.
this pattern tends to show up as more purely sexual attraction. with pluto the emphasis becomes very carnal, which is the antithesis of the intimate ,spiritual feelings of venus conjunct the sun oppose3d to the moon. pluto/venus gives a much more selfish,
'me first", ambience . as mars is with urnaus ,he particularly will want a looser relationship as this pattern often is within "open" re;atonsips. with neptunes influencethere are desire s of others as this can bean aspect of infidelity. with Saturn conjuct to Neptune. these feelings may not be expressed and he may be subject to silent and distant moods. the node with Venus promises an almost spiritual, all embracing love, but Neptune , Saturn and mars show show the desires to play the "field". with mercury sextile to mars and trine to Jupiter, these dynamics may be moderated as this pattern shows good communication and these opposite tendencies may be ironed out .but as the Saturn/Uranus midpoint is conjunct to Neptune and opposed to Chiron, it seems that he still has a unspoken hesitation or uncertainty about the relationship. the moon/sun/venus/node energies brings strong openness into a relationship but the Uranus/Saturn/Neptune energies show hidden feeling and hesitation.
I notice that eros and the node are in an exact 11th harmonic to psyche, exact to a arc second .this implies the love between them is "destinical" and that the ethereal, spiritual component to their love can overcome the potential problems on the mundane plane.it seems this will be a successful relationship as long a they keep a spiritual perspective to their lives.here it seems love can conquer all obstacles.

Todd, thank you so much!!

The 5th house stellium opposing the 11th house hm...

Ah this totally escaped me. The aspects are so interesting and I've been reading a lot about what they mean and trying to correlate that to what I know/observe of them. And the houses are much harder to put into everything since everything seems to have several possibilities...

They have been together for years with lots of up and downs but seem to have settled on a good place now which is just so freaking beautiful to see them both change and try to meet each other half way. Individually they also went through some bad luck which maybe forced them to try to put their feelings aside and be there for the other, one of them having an accident, the other surgery some time later. And this bad luck started a year after their breakup, a time when they were both very focused on how unfair they thought the other was. Maybe it was the universe telling them to get it together

I've known them for years and despite their sillyness, when they are good I envy them a lot. Hm.. Mars, Uranus, Neptune, Saturn thing. When I first met them, one of them was so touchy feely that I even misunderstood when actually he's a very private closed off person. But who knows what anyone is like behind closed doors and that goes for both of them. I'm glad saturn is there because their breakup was more to my sag friends fear, insecurity, misunderstandings from what sag friend said. And seeing how good they can be together, I hope things like that don't/didn't come between them. From the beginning until now, from how they speak of each other it's obvious they hope this is forever <3 Also they are both so sensitive and sweet, that my over emotional self feels like a cold rock next to them O_O

Pluto though, isn't the transformational quality to it as important in composites. Since it squares moon and sun too. I took that to mean their views on the relationship, feelings and romantic expressions goes through a cycle and develops? And pluto is also sextile to saturn, could it an sign of them trying to control the effects of pluto or that pluto's energies are more manageable if they were aware of it? And the 6th house 12th house, they work in the same field, have similar dreams so that makes sense.

Thank you so much, your analyses makes so much sense and fits so well. It's easier when you know someone and don't have to ask them if this or that is really true. A lot of what you said is visible from the outside after being around them for so long. I have so much I want to say but it's all escaping me now so I better end it here. Thank you!
