so synastry aside, in your experience, have you seen relationships work between a person who has an exuberant amount of squares/ difficult aspects and someone who has an abundance of trines/ sextiles?

by analyzing my chart and the chart of my ex, I can really see how his hard aspects played out in our relationship (keep in mind, he was NOT consciously dealing with them)

In our relationship, he was USUALLY the more "troubled" one. It got to the point where it felt like his difficult energies and inability to look at them objectively were holding ME back. Like, I was unable to move forward because I was so energetically bombarded by all of his discordant energy.

Looking at our two charts individually, I feel gives a pretty darn accurate view of our general relationships. His many squares played out in our relationship as many emotional/psychological holdups that held him hostage!

Just wondering if anyone has looked at things from this general perspective before and seen patterns. I would imagine that a better fitting partner for me would probably have a similar amount of difficult/ easy aspects...

I like your theory and have thought that before...easy chart people may fare better with easy chart people.

My chart is hard, a t-square in each modality (cardinal, fixed, mutable.) My husband only has two serious squares; I have six squares, two semisquares, and three oppositions.

My chart is like a non-inhabitable planet.
