Alright, I know that synastry isn't the end-all, be-all of a couple BUT...I am finally re-entering the dating scene after being single for over 3 years. (I'm 45 and honestly nervous about it all) I have a profile up on a dating site and have been asking the guys who write me (who I'm interested in) for their birth dates so I can see what they're about and what our synastry looks like. So far I've come up with only mediocre synastry. Using this as a screening method has left me without a date. Am I being ridiculous here? I'm starting to question myself. I just think having good sexual compatibility and great communication is vital. Or am I taking this too far and using astrology as a reason not to try a guy out? Gulp! It is, but I feel like this helps. I don't want to waste my time on someone where there isn't anything. No one likes to be "lead on" and I feel this helps solve that real quick. Good luck to you as well!IP: Logged |

I think it might freak out some people. A woman wants to know a chart before she can decide if the 2 can have chemistry or if they can have a good relationship? lol. Honestly, only fellow astrologers freak can understand this.  I would suggest you use your own intuitive vibes to screen candidates first, then during the first date, if you think there is enough mutual attraction and interest, ask for astro data before you get your feelings all wrapped up in the relationship. Also keep in mind that some things we're not supposed to know because part of the lesson is going through the journey and learning from it. You might find a guy you like who doesn't know his time of birth. then what? IP: Logged |

I would say at least give the guy a try and go on a date with him first, even though the temptation is there to "screen" using the tools at our disposal. There is SO MUCH to an in-person meeting that cannot be felt or explained with Astrology. Sights, smells, touch. The "man of your dreams" could have terrible hygiene or manners and completely put you off. There are countless stories of people who had near-perfect synastry but a dead-end date, and vice versa. We all need different things at different stages in our lives. Some of us fall asleep at the wheel with "easy" synastry and need that jolt that a little challenge can bring.Being that you are entering the next phase of your life and are just re-entering the dating scene, maybe you don't even know what you want/need exactly yet. You won't know unless you give people a try and even if you don't have perfect synastry with them, let them come into your life to show you and teach you and go from there  IP: Logged |
